It had been a cold day and we'd been out for a walk. As usual we were in need of a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Our walk took us down the High Street, so after a bit of poking our noses in a few of the shops, we saw a light on and the potential of... More

Do not visit here unless you do so on an empty stomach otherwise you may find you are not able to do justice to the huge and delicious afternoon tea they serve. It really has to be seen to be believed. It felt more like eating a 3 course lunch! Everything is very fresh, sandwiches made to order and the... More

I love to visit this little place, and hope I always will! Last visited with family, for special occasion, and whole experience was a delight. Sandwiches, scones and cakes enjoyed by us all,in the traditional afternoon tea style - perfect! Looking forward to my next visit.

The best kind of Tea room, not large, old china & table cloths, friendly service, fresh food. What more can you ask.

I visited here with my mum for her birthday in September. I had the afternoon tea for one which I shared. There were options for the scones or cakes, because we were sharing - which i thought was a nice touch. The staff are friendly here, we visited when they had two large groups of people so it was quite... More

As we weren't eating (we ordered a cream coffee and a juice) we were rudely asked to move to a smaller table. Felt very uncomfortable and won't be returning. Lavenham is a beautiful town and we were so very looking forward to trying here after being recommended it by the tourist information centre. Such a shame

My review of this place appears to have vanished, so I'll just write another as it's a great place. It's just like stepping back into time, when afternoon tea WAS afternoon tea. We had super, well-filled sandwiches and scrummy cakes, all served on delightful mis-matched china. Loved it.
