You can’t help but love this charming pub with its pretty garden, petanque pitch and terrace with country views. The Indian chef creates a mix of flavo...
The Turks Head is a traditional pub and dining room. We serve excellent ales. We will be reopening on 4th July. We have introduced new protocols and trained our staff to make sure our staff and guests stay safe and comfortable. We have an extensive wine list and a large selection of gins, with a dining room serving wonderful local seasonal produce. We are in the Michelin Guide. We welcome dogs in our bar and snug. We have a large garden and petanque pistes. Boule are available behind the bar.

Firstly the positive. My partner loved his chicken main course. But oh dear. I paid £30 for a fillet steak and some may say I should not ask for it to be well done. However it was black on the underside and bit overdone on...More
Operating in such restrictive conditions at the moment, The Turks Head managed to provide me with a tasty beef lunch with perfectly cooked meat, mixed veg, roast potatoes ,and a generously sized crisp Yorkshire pudding.
The clever recyclable packaging including a separate gravy container, helped...More
Superb food and excellent service - the beef Wellington was out of this world, washed down with a velvety Malbec with blackcurrant notes. The beef jacob’s ladder was also amazing.
The staff were brilliant - really helpful and attentive, and fully deserved the healthy tip...More
What can I say!!! This was our first visit to The Turks Head for food and we weren’t disappointed. The food was fantastic as was the service. We couldn’t manage dessert but we will visit soon and try again!!!
The only fault is my own... I couldn't make it to dessert. Outstanding service, particularly during COVID times. Aperol Spritz and Gin cocktails were well mixed and made. Had the 'nibbles' of bread and olive oil, and pardon peppers for starters. Mains were mushroom Wellington...More
Easy to book a table online and to change the time of our reservation on the day we booked. Super friendly staff, we felt well looked after. Whilst the menu wasn't extensive, the food was excellent and clearly the chef enjoys their work and ensuring...More
With all the restrictions we now have to observe, it was reassuring to see service can still be pleasant and attentive. Food was very good, we had the last 2 Beef Wellingtons that were on the Special menu. A dish easy to get wrong but...More
We had an outstanding lunch on our last visit here about a year ago and so were really looking forward to returning. We arrived having booked for a late lunch at 15.00. It wasn't busy however the service was particularly slow. I can only assume...More
Sat outside on a beautiful September day, service is good, food lovely. Really nice atmosphere...until the DJ arrived at 4pm and played the most awful music. It was like 1970s american TV theme tune music. I don't understand why, it's such a perfect venue, why...More
Came here for a quick lunch with a colleague. Staff were lovely and friendly and the setting is great. I felt it lacked a little bit of atmosphere as there was no music playing in the restaurant. But the most frustrating thing I found with...More

Hi There,
I'm glad you enjoyed the service you received.
The local free range chicken tikka with laccha salad and mint yogurt is £7 and is two small skewers.
The Cromer crab arancini with gremolata dressing was two arancini and £8.50
These dishes are starters....More
