We recently visited this pub, the bar staff were very nice and the food was okay.. maybe because it was midweek and it was very quiet, it lacked atmosphere.

Really delicious meal here last night. Lovely hosts - happy to cater for all sorts of food intolerances and culinary requirements! Nothing too much trouble and a wonderful environment to boot. Thank you!

Hi Clivey - really pleased you enjoyed your visit on Sunday though sorry you felt the potatoes were slightly under-cooked. We try hard to ensure they are just right but as you can imagine serving over 130 roasts each week there might be the odd...More

Had a meal at Stephan Langton's during a beautiful summers evening in 2017. It was nice to see a little atmosphere outside the pub, which is neatly tucked away in the Surrey hills. Not too many people were eating that evening which helped with the...More

Bottom line- tasty food. Lamb roast on a Sunday. Yes - portion sizes could have been slightly bigger but that would have meant we left stuffed instead of just full. Very tasty meat and gorgeous little secluded area. We went for a massive walk before...More

Went for a quick lunch while walking in the area. Over a one hour wait for a pie and mash ... and when the mash came it can best be described as a small 'sliver' of a portion. Slow service and portions that are so...More

Dear Phil - such a shame you didn't ask for more mash when you were at the Inn. I am really surprised you complain here about portions as we regularly receive compliments for the generosity of food on our dishes. The day of your visit...More

Popped in after house hunting in the local area fairly late in the evening around 20:00 Greeted with a smile, taken to the table, looked after with knowledge about the food. Couldn't really ask for more.

A very pretty pub set in the quiet of the countryside. Called first for mid morning coffee on a Sunday and sat outside in such peaceful surroundings. After a walk we came for a sandwich and a pint. Very pleasant staff (which was why we...More
