Met up with friends for a friendly drink. Lovely old place, but clean and new looking at the same time. Looked cosy with arm chairs scattered around. There were 6 of us, having a beer or two, and we brought all the different flavours of...More

Loved it. It's on the high street but surprisingly quiet inside. The bar staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. The food is freshly cooked and tastes superb. Cannot recommend the Surrey Yeoman highly enough. Gammon and egg is divine!

Have eaten here many times over the past few months and the food is very good for both quality and value. There are always a selection of beers on tap at reasonable prices.

The menu looks suspiciously Wetherspoons but the food is a cut above. The obviously homemade burgers are excellent loaded with toppings and include a drink for £1 extra all day everyday and the chips were best I've had in a pub in a longtime. The...More

Surrey Yoeman, what a great find, good selection of beers, pretty extensive menu. The food was excelent, and the prices are great, i.e. Our ultimate Fish and chips £9.49, what a result. Highly recommended.

A character pub built in the 16th century. The tile hung Surrey Yeoman features beams, flagstones, tiles and well polished floorboards in its various areas, which are to be found on various levels. The pub takes its name from the Earl of Rothes who was a colonel of the Surrey Yeomanry in the early part of the 19th century. The original pub was extended when it was converted into a Hogshead, and it was refurbished again when bought by Greene King. The good garden at the back is not immediately obvious, the door is at the end of the bar. Food is available each day from 11-9. Also a pub that is one of few in the area that is wheelchair accessible. Both the disabled toilet and the baby change are at the back, by the end of the bar and the door to the garden. The pub can get very busy Friday and Saturday nights. The Old Speckled Hen may sometime change and there are four guest beers, which a few are from Greene King. There is a television in the front part which is usually covered with a picture when it is not showing terrestrial sport. Overall the pub is a very friendly place to socialise, have a meal with others and to enjoy well known traditional drinks.
