There were 2 of us we had the sharing platters one cheese one fish. A very good selection on both. We enjoyed it all. Slow service but the wait was forgotten with the food quality. We will return.

This pub/restaurant is ideally located and well presented with an excellent and friendly staff. The menu is varied with game, such as partridge, also liver and bacon etc and very well cooked and of a good size. Deserts too were very good. Our only reservation was the length of time it took to be served but this is a testament to... More

Four female friends, we had a lovely lunch here last Friday. Reserved a few days in advance, which turned out to be advisable as it was packed! Comfy chairs and a nice table for 4 in the 'new' room. Not as characterful as the old 'beamed' original pub part, but tasteful, warm and spacious. Food was all delicious - broad... More

I had lunch here with my wife on a Wednesday lunchtime. We had booked because we new it would probably be busy, and it was - the car park was 80% full. We keep returning here (5 visits in 2016) because we can be confident about the good quality and good choice of food and the efficient service. As usual... More

We were a group of twelve. Easy online booking for the table. Lovely food, great service, a very helpful young waitress (short blonde hair) nothing too much trouble. Cosy and welcoming village pub. Would highly recommend.

These days every pub that serves food classifies itself a gastropub, and yet most fail to get the basics right. Not this place. Wonderful tasty unpretentious food.

Seriously impressed. Some of the staff went above and beyond (esp waitress with very short hair, purple tinge). The food was simply amazing! The duck confit is highly recommended. Excellent specials to choose from also. Great ambiance with wood burner.

Being a professional chef I end up being a critic as I am only about fresh food.when you prep long hard days u appreciate it when you eat somewhere that has the effort and skills to deliver to you what you deliver to the many the rest of the week.specials board is good I drove past this place for ages... Dropped in the off chance of a table for Sunday lunch - what a welcome treat. Lovely atmosphere, decor device and best rib of beef tasted for a while in a pub

Table for 7 today aged between 3 and 75, everyone loved it! It amazes me every time that they just get this so right, the food is perfect, the staff super friendly and speed of service is excellent. We had a vegetarian with a nut allergy in the group, the staff were well informed and accommodating, the result was one... More
