Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve noticed the sign for The Hideaway Cafe a number of times when using the nearby York Road car park so after a shopping trip I decided to venture up to see what it was like and I’m so glad that I did. A lovely...spot away from the hustle and bustle of the high street with lovely views over to the countryside. There were a number of occupied tables, mostly others on their own so I felt very comfortable being by myself. I was greeted with a smile and ordered myself a latte and the soup of the day - carrot and coriander. The latte was lovely. The soup was incredibly tasty and the roll served warm which was delicious. The butter patties were soft which often isn’t the case in many places! There’s nothing worse than trying to butter your roll with practically frozen butter!! I thoroughly enjoyed my relaxing lunch in such lovely surroundings. I will definitely be back!! There is a lovely sun deck with tables and chairs which will be gorgeous when spring comes round again. This is a social enterprise café which is fabulous.More

Great coffee and cake, lovely surroundings, friendly service. Plus, being the summer, there was swingball, big Jenga and Connect 4 on the large lawn area at the front, so good for keeping kids entertained. Worth a visit on your way into / back from Guildford...town centre if you’ve parked in the York Road carpark, which is nearby. It’s also dog friendly. Highly recommended!More
