We visited Branches with our daughter who was looking at Newcastle Uni. First impression was good as the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a drink at the bar before eating. Very professional bar staff and drinks presented very well. Food was amazing with...the mussels for starter and the braised beef being delicious. You need to get a little dressed up for this. Great food and service. They've really made an effort for December. I think the best soup I've ever tasted.

This was a first time visit for us and it did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We attended on a Sunday so it was a no brainer to try the Sunday lunch and therefore both ordered the trio of meat. It...did not disappoint, it was delicious! I can’t pick a favourite part as every bite was just as good as the last. The red cabbage was delightful. Although very full, we couldn’t resist a sticky toffee pudding to share and it was incredible. The only sticking point was the cost. The food and service was very good, however for two alcoholic drinks, two lunches and a dessert it cost £101. Which is definitely a treat for us, we couldn’t sustain this every week or even every month.More

Just beautiful a great place to celebrate my girlfriends birthday.Lovelly personal and friendly service and absolutely delicious food my girlfriend was especially effusive of the fillet steak,you could cut it with your fork.Perfect.

We met here with local friends for a supper and drinks. We all had starters and mains and of course lots of drinks! We were a party of 7. The staff are all very professional but friendly and attentive but leave you in peace to...enjoy your evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food selections. We will be back.More

Branches is bright and chic, front of house Stuart was very friendly and welcoming. Service is was provided by James and he was also very friendly and efficient. The food quality is excellent, perfectly presented and delicious, a touch of class. The portions for a...quality restaurant where also very generous. Our daughter contacted Stuart while we were dining and arranged payment over the phone. When the restaurant found it was our anniversary we were treated to a bonus course, impressively presented, a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, a little more expensive but worth it for the quality.More
