Ok lets be honest here, this is the best place for chinese food in the whole UK. I went there twice with my friends, each time the restaurant was almost full, but we managed to find a table. The staff are so kind, they explained each type of food and we requested the food not to be spicy. And they advised us what exactly to order, and we made our own choices. The food taste is top, way way way better than other restaurants, my favourite dish, among others, is the Teriyaki fried nodle with beef.... The restaurant is clean and you can see how hard the staff work, we really felt overwhelmed by what we saw.
Other remarks: the dishes are good sized, they are enough for one person and good for sharing. Again the staff are super friendly, and they at least smile at you... Which made us feel welcomed.

I'm always in search of decent Chinese food wherever I am in the world. Came here with a friend who thought it was authentic but wanted me to confirm it. I checked the menu out and it looked liked it should be.
We came for lunch to confirm it. I ordered the steamed chicken in chili oil which is served cold. This may sound strange for the Western palate but its delicious. It's quite spicy and don't wear light colored clothes in case you spill food down yourself. Also be aware some of the chicken is on the bone. I was in charge of ordering so ordered the french beans with minced pork (veggie alternative also available), seafood with salted duck egg and mixed seafood with crispy noodles. All were good and I introduced my friend to dishes which she wouldn't have ever ordered. It's all about spreading the knowledge! Service was good too! It's near St James' Park and not in the main Chinatown area.

I randomly came across this place and decided to give it a try. It’s quite a small venue but caters to everyone. I went in on a Thursday lunch time and ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup as a starter and then had fish in hot chilli oil as my main. The sweetcorn soup was standard to what you would expect, I had no complaints and was a good size. When I ordered the fish in hot chilli oil the waitress advised that it was the spiciest thing on the menu and asked if I’d like it a bit less spicy, I was grateful for this advice and requested it with less spice. When the main came I was blown away. The portion size was extremely generous. I ordered it with fried rice and had thought of ordering a side dish with it, I am so glad I decided against it. The taste and favour, the level of spice, everything was stunning. I fully intend on returning multiple times in the future to try there other dishes. Every time a different dish was served to other tables I wanted to try a bit hahah. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and it had a bit of a family feel to it. My only issue is I felt the drinks were a bit expensive. I paid £3.00 for a coke which was a can, that seems a bit excessive. For the portion sizes you get and how delicious it is you pay the right amount for the food in my opinion. My bill came to £28 for the soup, drink and main. Bear in mind the mains are huge so would definitely recommend sharing.

A really unsatisfactory level of service. We sat down for our food and it took the staff 20 minutes to come and greet us and take our drinks orders. We recieved our drinks in a reasonable time, and the waitress took our starter order which consisted of chicken and sweetcorn soup and hot and sour soup, and also took our main course order. This took a further 30 minutes to arrive. We understood the restaurant was busy and therefore did not say anything and patiently waited and ate our food. The soup was lukewarm at most and was not worth the 30 minute wait. As we placed our starter and main course at the same time and asked explicitly for the main courses to come straight after the soup, we expected the food to arrive shorty after our soup. The food came 55 minutes later. Frustrated and hungry, I politely asked the staff how long our food was going to be. She replied by laughing and saying she will only bring it out when it is made and I should be patient. This amplified the poor customer service, as she did not apologise for the soup being late, and laughed in my face when I asked how long our food would be. The food arrived staggered, meaning we only received each dish at a time. The actual food was hot, but all dishes were very sour for some reason. We ordered the fish chill hot pot which was very fragrant and flavoursome, but apart from that, the rest of the dishes (black bean chicken, cantonese chicken, kung po chicken, kung po prawns) were all extremely sour. Having been here before, this was a real shame and a poor example of customer service. The first time was mediocre at best but we decided to return in order to give it another chance but instead of the food and customer service improving, it has completely plummeted. I would advise all potential customers to perhaps look elsewhere if you are looking for a warm, inviting dining experience, as this was the complete opposite of what we received.

Granted, this restaurant has dishes you won’t find from your average Chinese takeaway, but it’s way too overpriced. Mains don’t come with rice, and they charge £10 for the simplest of dishes, like broccoli with garlic — which is exorbitant. If it weren’t for the crazy high price tag, I’d recommend getting food from here, but alas...

Me and my friends absolutely loved it. The restaurant is laid out beautifully, nicely decorated with spinning marble tables. As were not natively Chineese, we were unsure of what dishes were similar the ones from a chinese takeaway. But without even asking the waitress came over offering help and support!!!! She was SO lovely. Although pricey, the food was extremely worth it. My friends and I got a little bit of everything and shared so I can tell you for certain the food is unreal. You can even use knives and forks if the chopsticks aren’t for you. Seriously cannot recommend going enough from the staff service, to the wait time (15 mins max!!!!) and most importantly the food. So so lush.

Infusion Newcastle, has to be one of the worst meals I've ever had. There were 6 of us, for a birthday. We didn't eat off the cheap menu. We all ordered starters and mains and the bill came to over £200. I personally had the vegetable dumplings for starter and they were empty except for a few bean sprouts. My partner had the salt, chilli and pepper squid. It was that awful frozen squid with the criss cross pattern in batter and deep fried. Awful. Looked nothing like the squid on the menu which is the squid I would have expected. My main was chicken and kimchi ramen. The chicken was the processed spongey chicken that was probably never chicken, a spoonful of kimchi, beef broth and a kilo of noodles and that was it, not a vegetable in sight on anyone's plates. All the meat was processed pretend meat. All the staff then sat down to eat without saying anything, leaving us with dirty plates, most of them still full, and empty drinks. I don't mind them eating but our plates should have been cleared and drinks offered. My mam wanted some ice cream but didn't want to bother them. I said they'll sharp get up if we stand up, which one of them did to offer us the bill. We paid. £36 per head for 6 people. Without leaving a tip as the food and the service were terrible. Authentic Chinese!!!!! I don't think so.

We walked past the place by chance as I never knew it existed. Some dishes are halal as well, as they even told us what butchers they shop from. The service is very good, the lady is really nice too. Would like to come again.

Excellent service, with an authentic menu, including some classics. Something for everyone. Starters were Hot & Sour soup, chicken satay and veggie dumplings. Mains were chicken katsu curry and rice, braised beef noodle soup and house special hot pot. Portions were huge, so tasty, good quality and excellent value. Will definitely recommend.

I assume that’s when it opened, which means I spent a good few years missing out!
So I’ll get to the point, it’s the best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle! It’s an actual Chinese not a glorified takeaway as you would find many of on Stowell street (hello Landmark!)
We went mental and had far to much but I didn’t regret it for a second! All the staples of a good Chinese, spring rolls, dumplings, braised pork belly, Szechuan beef etc. all top draw stuff! It’s a simple place with not a lot of frills but I quite like that. No pretence and it lets the food do the talking!
Not just one of my favourite Chinese but one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle!

Been meaning to eat here for a while, always busy. Called in for lunch and managed to get a table for my wife and I.
Infusion has a great diverse menu from your standard Chinese fare to dishes you would never think of.
We ordered King Prawns for starters and were superb.
I’ve never sampled Frogs Legs since a visit to Paris several years ago and here they are on the menu, so ordered the iron wok frogs legs in chilli oil, wow portion size was fab and really enjoyed the dish.
Will be returning in a couple of weeks time.

Authentic Chinese recipes cooked to perfection. If you want to go deeper into Chinese cuisine and really experience the most amazing flavours, you need to try this place.
Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, competitive prices, they've got it all, but the flavours will keep you going back again and again.
Superb.

Home for Christmas, searched for recommendations for Chinese food. Infusion 2018 Newcastle came up a few times. So we thought let’s do this!!! From the moment we booked was so attentive and welcoming 🙏 The food was absolutely amazing. Full of wonderful flavours and the variety was vast.
We chose soups and spring rolls for starters. Mains, sizzling beef teriyaki, katsu beef curry, Szechuan spicy chicken, salt 🌶 prawn and special fried rice with sizzling beef. Food was spectacular and service was even better 😋 Thank you kindly for a wonderful meal!! 🙏

Outstanding food and service. Visited Saturday lunchtime and had the Salt and Chilli King Prawns followed by the Spicy Scheuzan Chicken and fried rice. All cooked fresh and straight into the plate. Best Chinese meal I've had in a long time and will definitely be retuning. Keep up the good work.
