Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A new restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne with a quickly growing reputation for good quality food friendly staff and great customer service. Take your own drink. Glasses supplied. No corkage charged. Lovely atmosphere with seating restricted to about 30, so booking advised at weekends.
My wife and I dined on delicious food and paid the same price we had paid for a takeaway from another restaurant a week earlier. Well recommended. We will return.

We were out celebrating my mum’s 81st birthday and we had a wonderful evening here. It’s bring your own drink which is a huge plus and being foodies we’re very picky about food. We couldn’t complain about anything, the service and food was fabulous. Book a table as this place is going to get very busy. We got a cake for mum and it was delicious, my son said he wanted the leftover cake for himself which says how good the cake was! There wasn’t a problem with taking leftover food home either as containers were filled to how you wanted then to be filled. We’ll definitely be back!

We have been getting a takeaway Curry every Saturday night ever since restaurants were able to either deliver or let you take away during Covid. This evening we decided to sit in at this new restaurant in South Gosforth with our twin 20-year-old sons. We had Heard good things about it from I have friends who have been there recently. We weren’t disappointed it was absolutely outstanding! The food was superb and beautifully cooked. The staff were attentive and very friendly. You take your own drinks and there is no corkage. We will definitely be going back without a doubt!

Over the moon to have a top quality Indian restaurant on the doorstep. The new owners absolutely know what they are doing. Everything that arrived on the table was superbly presented, beautifully fresh and extremely tasty.
The sag aloo and lamb chops just incredible and the mark
Toney desserts did the place Justice. Of all the garlic naan bread I have ever tasted this was the crispiest and most garlicky of them all. 10 out of 10 a credit to the owners and my new go to place for Indian food.

This is a very small intimate restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome. Byo alcohol makes for a much cheaper meal. The Ckicken Tikka was gorgeous. The best I have ever had. Vegetarians are offered anything on the menu but with vegetables instead of meat. The sauce was delicious but the vegetables were sparse and we were charged the same price as the meat dish. Would probably go back if they can improve vegetarian options.

Came here with my friend a couple of weeks ago after a few drinks at the 3 local pubs. What a lovely little restaurant! Very welcoming, nothing was a problem, our usual curries that we like weren’t on the menu but they happily made them for us. We often go for indian curries but this was the best one we’ve had in a long time! We like spicy curries and they were spicy as requested but had the most lovely flavours! Delicious 🤤We didnt realise they didn’t have an alcohol licence but it wasn’t a problem as we nipped along to the shop and bought some cans of lager to go with our curries. We will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

First visit and the only table booked in the restaurant but it was raining, a Wednesday and Newcastle were playing at home. The menu had dishes I was not at all familiar with so I was a bit wary. There were 7 of us and we all chose different dishes; I went with chicken lazeez. The waitress confirmed it was a mild dish but it could be made hotter if I wished. I asked for it to be pimped up. With it was lemon and cashew rice and a garlic naan. It was one of the nicest Indian flavoured meals I have had. Definitely worth a return visit (but maybe avoid the weekends when they are very busy). You would be crazy not to give this food a try. All 7 of us cleared our plates enjoying every last bite. They do takeaway too.

Am no where given time for posting reviews before but now am posting this as i feel this should be worth it. I have been to this restaurant with couple of my friends for the first time, we ordered HYDERABADI BIRYANIS Chicken Biryani and Lamb Biryani.
This restaurant is generally an intimate affair, with a select group of diners sharing a unique gastronomic experience in a discreet, good space. At least that’s true in my native India. I’m thinking specifically of a place like Paradise in India,
Hyderabadi chicken and Lamb Biryani' scored top points when it came to taste. The tender and juicy pieces struck a delicious balance with equally flavourful and aromatic basmati rice.
Every biryani enthusiast is most likely to know of this place and may even slurp at the mere mention.
If you are a fan of traditional Hyderabadi biryani, this is the right place to be. ...”Ahad's Indian Kitchen”
Overall service was appreciated. This is best restaurant i recommend to visit.

From start to finish this place is top notch. From making the booking to leaving the restaurant the service was impeccable. Nice ambience in a small setting, took our own wine which was chilled for us, the 2 lads on front of house Mushi and Adnan are great and their service made for a good night. Food is fantastic, authentic menu rather than just the usual standard list. It was noted that the booking was for a birthday and they had arranged for a fresh personalised cake to be made which was served at the end and really topped off which had already been a great night. Would be the first place I recommend when people ask where to go for an Indian meal. Cheers 🍻

On the whole the food was too bland and too oily and also poor portions on main dishes. Vegetable vindaloo mainly consisted of carrots and peas with only one sliced potato. The chips were English chips and not Indian. The three popadoms were smashed to bits which they must have known about because I collected the food.

What an excellent addition to South Gosforth. A small, friendly restaurant with lovely food and welcoming staff.
The food is very good and you can also ask for dishes that are not listed on the menu. It’s relatively new on the scene but it’s our first choice now!

We loved the family run atmosphere of the place and the food was delicious! My sister and I decided to take our Mum for her birthday and she loved the Salmon Massla dish she chose.
We brought a couple of bottles of wine of our own since there’s no licence for selling alcohol and that suited us nicely.
Thanks to Ahad and his daughters for making our evening so special.

The food is s outstanding. You might have to wait a little while, but I suspect that’s because the dishes are made to order. It’s definitely worth the wait, too.
Portions are big, no hint of grease anywhere, and there’s a ton of dishes that you won’t find elsewhere.
Service is also great, prices are very reasonable, and it’s BYOB.
We’ve been twice now and will be back again

An amazing flavourful Indian cuisine! Such a great asset for local residents. We often order from them for click and collect and today we came up to try it inside the restaurant. Delicious as usual. Prices are great. People are friendly and helpful. Delicious and spicy if you’re into that.

Went there with friends for a sit in meal on a Friday evening. The food was fabulous, best chicken tikka I've had, excellent value for money and the service was great too. If you wish to drink alcohol then you take your own, which is fine as there's a Sainsbury's nearby as well as a Majestic Wine Warehouse, soft drinks are available in the restaurant. Absolutely recommend this place.
