Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came in on good recommendations, walked in, it was packed and tables were so close together you felt crammed in. Was asked to move tables twice and sat me next to the toilets. However the breakfast was lovely, did not expect a massive portion.

Absolutely superb breakfast, me and my partner had the full English and oh my goodness it was amazing. So good infact we were back within days for more. I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else now for breakfast. The owner is so welcoming, warm and...friendly. If you haven't tried it then you must because this place will take some beating. Beautiful!More

Although cafe was full we waited outside and waitress took our drinks orders so the we didn’t have to wait once a table was available. Once at our table, we were very impressed with the menu. Egg Benedict being a specialty. My wife ordered tempura...prawn eggs Benedict, my daughter had haggis with double yolk poached eggs and myself the full English. All three meals were absolutely fantastic quality. Very well presented and piping hot. Very highly recommend trying this great little cafe.More

This is a breakfast/brunch dream. Absolutely love the location tucked away under the Tyne bridge. Plenty of choices on an extensive menu. Full English is quality and eggs done to order (& perfection) along with a decent sosage!

This is a gorgeous little coffee/food place near the Quayside. Very cosy with really friendly and efficient staff. Great decor and a bohemian vibe. The coffee (americano) was lovely and the food (Eggs Hebridean) was divine. I'll definitely be back.

I attended here with my friend for breakfast. I had been three or four years ago and really enjoyed myself but never managed to make it back. We were hugely impressed again. The breakfast was served within five minutes of ordering and were fresh and...delicious. The portion sizes were very generous. The flat white coffees were really tasty and we got service with a smile. What more can you want! We will be back soon!More

Quay ingredient never disappoints! The atmosphere is casual, the decor eclectic, the staff so friendly and the food is unreal. Whether you go for eggs, full English or one of their lunches you’ll be guaranteed a good time. Our go to order is an egg...dish each and sharing the French toast as “pudding”. The girls cannot do enough to ensure you have a good timeMore

The eggs were cold, the latte was warm at best. I know it is small place with only 5 tables but we felt rushed out. The bill came even before I finished half of my drink which is rude if you ask me. I don't...think I will go there again.More

Visited this little cafe for breakfast mid week prior to a spa day at a nearby hotel. I hadn’t been before but the reviews were good we gave it a try and we were not disappointed. There were plenty lovely options on the breakfast menu,...the food was delicious and there was plenty of it we left full for the day. The prices are excellent too for city centre. Staff were really friendly and the very small but cosy cafe was a lovely place, very conveniently situated around the coroner from the quayside area in the centre of Newcastle. Would highly recommend.More

Happened upon this place walking down to the river to cross. Absolutely delicious food, had the avocado and bacon bagel with bacon jam and sausages. Loads of food, good value and all really well cooked. Will be back.
