Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

We've called here a couple of times when dropping our daughter back to uni. We've had brunch and lunch and both times it has been excellent. They were so busy today and apologised for the food delay, but it was quite fast and the staff are lovely and friendly always; never stressed and snappy. Great menu choices. Highly recommended

I'd heard this place was great for breakfast, so gave it a try over the Bank Holiday. Was busy for an early morning, seemingly regulars. Lots of tables reserved too, so clearly a popular place. Breakfast menu was fairly extensive, I went for the veggie breakfast, I was sold with it having halloumi on it! Never thought of this as... More

Been to Ernest a few times now. Serves some great beers, food is always great, with a smashing but not enormous selection to choose from. Worth booking at weekends...!! We'll be going again, soon..........

Called into this restaurant with friends and family for a brunch today and ate in the rear dining area which was comfortable with good views. Staff friendly and helpful even when obviously very busy. Great selection on menu catering for all tastes. Food very tasty and well cooked. Service was a bit slow, I suspect due to pressure of diners.... More

This may be a little bit out of the City Centre but it has a great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and most important of all excellent food. My curried cauliflower soup was fantastic - thick and creamy and full of flavour - good value too. There was a nice cross section of people eating there - pleasing since the... More

Atmosphere and service was great, we booked a big table for brunch and they were happy to wait for the whole party to arrive. Food was super tasty and we didn't have to wait long, veggie options were diverse and yummy as were the beers! It is a bit of a way out but we all found the place alright... More

You can take the Quayside, take the Bigg Market and all the supposed trendy bars around the Toon and none will match the fun environment, and the friendliness of this absolute gem. A Stars Wars theme bar, dance area at the back, great menu (fantastic for vegans) - this is one of Newcastle's best kept secrets, although I may have... More
