We had a lovely socially distanced brunch with family outside at Ernest's. We all had different meals and agreed that they were all excellent. The waiter (Charlie?) was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back next time we're in Toon.

I came here for brunch the other day and had probably the best meal I think I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve literally been thinking about it ever since! I ordered the beans on toast but swapped the poached eggs for vegan feta (or...More

Quirky place with very good food, would highly recommend one of their hashes as breakfast / brunch. Good idea to book in advance as it’s a rather small place.

The food was excellent - great portion size - delicious and wish we could have finished it all. Managed to squeeze in a scrumptious desert though. Cocktails were devine. Staff were very welcoming 10/10 for service. Lovely chilled atmosphere. Next time we'll definitely be back....More

I’ve just had an amazing lunch at Ernest. Fabulously tasty vegetarian sun dried tomato hash with poached egg. Pleasing to the eye and the palette it was served swiftly and courteously with no fuss. Extremely polite staff and great vibe. Highly recommended.

Excellent location and venue, food was lovely but quite expensive for a pub is the only reason its not five stars. Lots of veggie alternatives which is great

I have regularly gone to Ernest over the last few years, and missed it very much during lockdown. I’ve been a few times since it reopened and it’s been such a pleasure each time. The food and drinks are always excellent and they have done...More

Visited Ernest today for some good and a couple of drinks and so glad we did. The menu was short, with 5 mains, 5 sides and 3 desserts and for me this is ideal, not having to troll through dozens of options, whittling them down,...More

I have been visiting Ernest for the last 4-5 years and I have always absolutely loved it. However my latest visit left me somewhat disappointed. We ordered drinks before our food (all cold canned drinks). Our food came (delicious full english) but still no sign...More

I don’t see why not so long as you’re not drinking alcohol, it’s a restaurant too. There were children and babies in there. You could always message them on Facebook. The food was absolutely delicious!!
