Popped up to Newcastle to visit our son at University, whilst we were waiting to meet we called into this Coffee House. It was lunchtime on a Monday so relatively busy but not full. We opted just to have coffee and cakes, great tasting coffee and delicious Cherry Frangipan tarts. The 2 guys serving were very friendly and very polite.... More

Went for brunch here before the match, very nice coffee and a very good location for people going to the match  The only gripe I had was, they gave me a wooden spoon to eat my yogurt and granola with. The wooden spoon got a little soggy and it wasn’t pleasant.

We popped in to central bean around 12ish during the week for a cuppa and to feed our baby, nice place as plenty seating (although only the settees are really appropriate for sitting with babies/children) as all the other seating is pretty high up. I ordered a tea, latte and a piece of cake, and although the service was quite... More

Great place for quality coffee, free wifi, comfy seats and a general chilled out location. When on business in town, this is my go to place. Highly recommended!

You want a good coffee with excellent food to boot, then come here. If you're a student you'll feel right at home, if not then be warned this is student heaven. Still, in general I tend to find if students like a place then the coffee and the cake is usually excellent. And that's exactly the case here. Really worth... More

I used to like this place and would come here most mornings however more recently I have been going elsewhere. After a gap I came back again and it's a bit disappointing really. It is and has always been let down by the senior staff - not outwardly rude, just brusque and not particularly welcoming. Try one of the many... More

Found this coffee shop a number of years ago, have returned a few times a week since. First class coffee and baristas are first class. But even better is the way you are treated, the staff are always pleasant and more than happy to get your drinks just how you like them. Can't praise staff enough.the shop is always spotless... It's nice inside and the barista was lovely but the coffee wasn't my favourite. It was drinkable but I prefer a stronger blend.

Met friends and have a decent latte in comfortable surroundings. Only negative thing was a rather loud homeless person randomly shouting in Italian as he left, but that's hardly the establishments fault.
