Went several times in a one week trip. Great in-house beers and ales and really fine food. Try the meat plank or the fish plank for serious first class nibbles or a light meal for two. The mains are great comfort food. Great preparation and...More

Booked the Bridge for Sunday lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and took along 8 friends. As always quite busy but we’d booked well in advance and our table was waiting so once we’d got some drinks from the bar we all settled down. Service...More

It must be its position directly under the Tyne Bridge that makes this bar less popular than say the Aikenside Traders. It can’t be the bar itself as it is superior in every way. It is unassuming, but friendly and laid out over a few...More

A busy bar with a great selection of beers from local and national small craft breweries. The brewing tanks at the back of the pub make it even more interesting. The beers were delicious and the atmosphere lively and friendly on a Saturday afternoon.

Dropped in here on the recommendation of a local bar manager, nice decor, busy bar, lots of choice. Ordered some food with the lady behind the bar who could have been a bit more friendly tbh. Food arrived quickly And have say it was rather...More

Only popped in for a quick drink on way to a restaurant, but certainly looks the part and had a decent atmosphere. The draught cider was very nice as well.

Excellent brew pub which serves some excellent Ales and rustic foods. One of my favorite´s here are the sliders and the pulled pork in a soft brioche bun with kimchee slaw and pickles yum!

Food us served until 9pm Mon-Thurs, and then until 7pm Fri-Sat. Sunday lunch tends to be more informal, ie it is served until it runs out. Always worth double checking, but I'm fairly sure that's the format. Cheers.
