Traditional bar with good beers and ales. Handy pub to start a pub crawl from Jesmond into town. Very good place.

A real gem hidden away, a lovely old school pub with great deco and nice staff, small but nice selection of real ale, a place to go and unwind. Regulars are a friendly bunch and there is a regular pub quiz each Tuesday which starts...More
Nice little real ale pub not to far from the main area takes a little effort to find. Looking forward to my next visit
When in the area, I always make a trip over. It's my kind of place with good music in the background and traditional pub decor. Friendly staff and decent booze, what more do you want? Oh yeah and they do toasties too. A little gem
Was in Newcastle at the weekend on a family visit, we stopped by for a few drinks, well kept beer, good atmosphere, good music at the right volume so you could have a conversation without shouting
This bar has never altered Either in decor or in music I find this reassuring Situated next to metro Good venue
Liked the atmosphere, liked the beer (real ales) liked the music (rock), plus music not so loud that u can't have a conversation. Would definitely go again.
Very old bar was surprised it was in the same chain as as you like it. We paid half the price for drinks we did in as you like it. Yes the place was grubby but clean - would go back

I only ever have a drink in this pub as i dine next door but it's a good pub. Beer is great quality, choice of ales. I had five bridges, it went down a treat. I recommend it
