Had a fabulous 3 course Sunday lunch for 4 of us yesterday at The Cross in Kenilworth, expectations were high as this is michelin star and we weren't dissapointed. Beef came exactly as requested and all dishes were superb. Service was top class from the moment we arrived and 2 x 50+ an 18 and 20 year old all had... More

We hadn't previously visited the restaurant under it's current guise, and now wish we had. The food and service were both excellent. The ambience in the bar area is very good but unfortunately the actual restaurant "room" itself is sadly lacking and detracts from the overall experience. That said we will be back.

I'm a bit old to be impressed by the trendy waiting approach. In my book jeans have their place but not on a restaurant manager! Still, no problem! This is a thoroughly competent establishment in an attractive building. The experienced chef and his team turn out some really good dishes. Think I would have liked an amuse bouche, but perhaps... Visited the Cross for my mum's 80th birthday in December and just wanted to say 'Thank you' for the beautiful food and service that we received. We had a wonderful lunch and very much enjoyed the food, service and surroundings. We have been to the cross on a few occasions and have sat in both dining rooms, however, we are... More

The food is excellent, the restaurant is small and you are sat on top of neighboring tables. The first part of our meal was dominated by really loud woman on next table. Its also a bit pretentious.

Another great meal. The smoked eel starter was a first for me and it was great. The soup was well received and the crispy duck egg never fails. The cod main was stunning. For dessert the apple was good but the bay leaf was only just noticeable in the custard.Souffles expertly cooked and the choc delice was very good.Great drinks, great service.

The food is well prepared and looks very fresh especially the smoked eel (cannot remember the exact name). Will definitely return and try new dishes when they change the menu!

As always the service is first rate. The food is finely prepared and constructed and full of wonderful flavours that are delightful. However, the lack of choice per course is now causing me to possibly revise The Cross as my first choice establishment. As I have said in reviews before I do understand it is not sustainable or practical to... More

Unable to celebrate the night away because of an early start to work the next morning we booked into The Cross for an early (6:00pm) meal with some family. The staff were very welcoming and full of information about the food on offer on the menu. Although the table was next to the kitchens it wasn't a distraction at all.... More

10 of us all had the beef fillet roast and it was really good (although we spli an adult portion @£30 for two kids and they actually cut a Yorkshire pudding in half which was a bit mean). We've been for dinners and other lunches over the last year and it's been consistently good.
