A group of friends and I visited for lunch having completed a walking tour of stratford, the pub was warm and welcoming and although busy they found room to accommodate eight hungry guests. I had the wild mushroom and garlic soup served with a warm...More

Would thoroughly recommend the pie of the day. Good range of well kept beer. Massive portions - we were still full in the evening! This pub is really easy to find and an ideal stop off if you're shopping.

I had never eaten in this establishment before. On a visit to Stratford, we headed in for lunch. My friend and I both opted for the Pie of the Day ( chicken and mushroom) and accompanying vegetables. It arrived piping hot and on hot plates,...More

The Old Thatch Tavern is an old fashioned pub with character. We visited for lunch as it was very close to Shakespeare's birth place. The staff were very friendly, informative and served a great pint of London Pride. We chose the homemade burger with cheese...More

Had a lovely lunch here. Pasta and pork meatballs bake sensational and burgers good too. Great service and lovely atmosphere.

Went here one Sunday evening. I had roast turkey with all the trimmings. It was really good. The building is so full of character with wooden beams and panelling.

Was there one evening at the end of a busy day. Your typical English fare, which was pretty average. Very noisy. Not a place to go if you need to unwind in peaceful surroundings. The decor is fabulous, though.

My wife and myself stopped here for a rest while walking around town. The staff were friendly, the decor perfect and the drinks refreshing. If you are looking for something different from the mainstream pubs then this is a great choice.

Disappointing stake, dry with lots of fat... The tomato, onion rings and mushroom were super greasy I could only taste oil. The other dish was ok. Honestly, I saw the reviews I was expecting something better

Yes, if you want a seat in the 2 small dining rooms. We were fortunate that when we came in they put 2 tables together in the small bar for the 6 of us (we actually liked it better than the dining rooms)
