Just coming back from a trip to Sardinia, I decided to go for lunch to refresh the memories of the amazing holiday. The starter was the typical Sardinian bread, pane Carasau, so thin and tasty, with juicy cherry tomatoes and tomato sauce. The main was...More

Eaten here a few times and food has always been consistently good. The restaurant moved to it current location from much smaller premises (where 33 the Scullery is now) based on its reputation. The Terrace on the roof is a great place to be in...More

I'm not a big eater, and watch my diet carefully, but the portion sizes would make a Weight Watchers meal look substantial, likewise with the wine, a small glass of mediocre wine cost nearly £8.00! The quality of the food was good, although the mixed...More

Hi, In heels I would say about 10-15 mins - we're at the top end of Stratford just past Shakespeare's house and the hotel is at the bottom end. Maybe you should get a taxi - save your feet & your hair as it's just started... More

Situated in the heart of Stratford upon Avon, 70 yards from Shakespeare's birthplace and 5 minutes from the Theatres, Il Moro is a family run Italian restaurant with a twist. Chef/owner Massimiliano Melis, from the south of Sardinia believes in serving traditional, simple, home-made Italian cuisine but also enjoys the challenge of infusing flavours from his homeland into his dishes. All of our pasta, bread and desserts are hand-made in house, making Il Moro a little bit more than the average Italian restaurant.Within stylish and elegant surroundings, guests can enjoy a glass of prosecco at the bar before dining or weather permitting, a light bite on the roof terrace which affords stunning views across the rooftops of Stratford. Stepping into Il Moro is like stepping into another world - one that is steeped with tradition and has a real authentic feel but is at the same time contemporary and fresh in its approach to food and service.
