Absolutely brilliant experience in this family-run restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was spot on and the building and decor were delightful. We visited for a pre-theatre meal and the restaurant was buzzing. Full of very happy customers. The gentleman on the table next...to us said he'd just eaten his the best steak of his life and he was not wrong. The fillet steak was amazing. Go. You won't regret it!More

We visited Stratford for a two night break for my wife’s birthday. I booked Loxleys due to the good reviews and the menu being exactly our sort of thing. The atmosphere/decor/ambience in the restaurant was lovely. We were welcomed by the staff who were friendly,...happy to help and explain items on the menu etc. They’d even thought to leave a birthday card on the table for my wife. We had three courses and the food was fantastic. Really well presented, thoughtful and great combinations of ingredients and flavours. The scallops to start and the lamb for main were particularly good. Service was quick, wine list had really good selection and I think it offers real value for money based on the quality of the food and experience. I’d highly recommend and would definitely return when next in StratfordMore

This Restaurant is fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly and efficient. But the food was outstanding, good quality and value for money. We had dinner here and immediately booked for another dinner. We enjoyed everything we ate. We'll definitely return and...would recommend it to others.More

The food and service was excellent. The filet medallions were on point and the butternut squash risotto was the best we've ever had! Add a side of onion rings as well. They do not disappoint . One of the best meals on our trip thus...far.More

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here mid week served by the delightful Abby. Atmosphere was intimate, tempura prawn tacos were delicious, fillet medallions were superb - and the Albariño was perfect. We were given a beautifully hand written card and it just topped off a...wonderful experience. I thought the prices were very reasonable too. You have to give this place a try!More

We had dinner here and pre booked which I would recommend as it is a popular restaurant. We ordered apperatives with some nibbles followed by Chateaubriand with a pepper sauce and chips followed by a desert and coffee. Russell, the waiter was excellent, and the...service well worth the optional 10% service charge. Generally I dislike these charges preferring to leave a tip but in this case I was very happy. Tips all go to the staff. The Chateaubriand was perfectly cooked medium/rare and was succulent. Sauce was delightful as were the chips. I chose an Argentinian Malbec, not too pricey, and perfect for the meal. We have eaten here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. I only wish Loxleys was closer to where we live! Excellent restaurant with a good choice of dishes perfectly cooked. We look forward to our next visit.More

This place is simply amazing. So pleased it was recommended to us. Visited Stratford-upon-Avon for hubby's 70th birthday weekend. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly; absolutely lovely waitress. So nice. We enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal (the steak medallions were the best ever)...and couldn't have asked for anything better. Delicious French Merlot which we'd highly recommend. Compliments from all for the food, cocktails and wine. Pleasant atmosphere, clean surroundings, prompt service. Thank you to all the staff for helping to make a wonderful occasion.More

Bit disappointed at the start as the house red was quite average for the price. However, the food was simply delicious - the Ham Hock Scotch Egg was perfectly cooked; the Chicken Supreme with chorizo was top notch all round in quality & taste. Will...definitely return when next in town.More

Lovely food, everything very well cooked and good size portions. We went twice and had Sunday roast beef (good quality and lots of meat) and a la carte. Lamb and fillet steak very nice. Treacle tart, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate mousse all great and...generous. I especially liked how there were lots of different elements on the plates (e.g. goats cheese and pepper and sumac sauce and redcurrant sauce and pistachio lamb belly all with the lamb, and raspberry financier and salted caramel and gingerbread/gingerbread ice cream all with the chocolate mousse), so lots of flavours to try that all worked well together and made it seem better value too. We spent quite a lot trying nice wine but the house wine was cheaper. Service was excellent, very friendly and I was astonishes by how fast the dishes came, especially the roast and desserts on the Sunday. The building is small in places but could accommodate us with a wheelchair. There was an accessible toilet but this was up one step. However there was a ramp they could get for us if it was needed so they have tried to make an old building accessible.More

We had an excellent tasty and well presented Sunday lunch at a very affordable price. The staff were helpful and attentive providing the information we requested and the food was delivered cooked as we specified. Would certainly go again on our next visit to Stratford.

The food and atmosphere was great. It’s been a very, very long time since I dined somewhere with staff as attentive. Lily was amazing, checking in and making sure we were comfortable and had a nice time but I was so impressed when a different...waitress saw us looking around for our waylaid chips and calmly let us know they were on their way. Sadly the dessert menu wasn’t what we were looking for but the service was impeacable.More

I suggest you call Loxleys and ask if you can book the bar for a couple of drinks. Mind you the food is delicious, so you could book the bar then have lunch or dinner afterwards? Hope I’ve helped
