Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a great experience. The food was of an average English pub equivalent and not that of a true fine dining Indian. The main meals appeared to be thrown on to individual plates with no finesse and lacked real culinary skill. We have been here...before and the standard of cuisine has definitely declined. Wouldn’t recommend.More

When we arrived we thought we'd stumbled into a pub by mistake! The front is like an old English pub and the restaurant is at the back and is quite modern. The table set up meant it was quite compact and narrow and so I...felt like I was eating on a plane in terms of the comfort level. There was also a large group very close by and it was quite loud and made it difficult to have a normal conversation. The food and service were excellent. We are vegetarian and found there was a great choice for us. We had a poppadom each and then a rice, naan and three dishes (starter size) to share. The Black lentil dhall, tandoori aubergine and aloo gobi were all delicious! We left feeling full but not stuffed which was perfect. Wine is expensive (about £10 for a large glass) and beer was about the standard price. There is a bit of nearby free parking after 8pm. Overall, great food, lovely staff and we did have a good evening but next time, I'd ask for a better table!More

We invited friends visiting us from Scotland to Jambavan. When we arrived we were nicely greeted and shown to our table. We enjoyed our starters. When our mains came we had just started them when a member of staff approached and told us that our...table was required in 20 mins time. We had only been in the restaurant 40 mins. We hadn’t even finished our main course, and not even looked at the sweet menu. I pointed out that we were very disappointed as we hadn’t been told about any time restrictions on tables and we hadn’t actually been in the restaurant very long. The waiter spoke to a person who was working behind the bar, and we were told that we could stay. Our party all felt that due to the approach made to us that we weren’t welcome any more in the restaurant, and because of that we decided to leave. I spoke to person who the waiter had spoken to when we were first told that our table was required in 20 mins. To be fair he apologised and said that the problem was due to the waiters young age? He said that we could stay, and we didn’t have to vacate the table. I pointed out that it was a little late for that, and the matter could and should have been resolved with us before I decided to speak with him. Overall we left Jambavan having just had starters and a main course. The food that we had was nice. But, we were hurried and were never offered the sweet menu nor coffees etc. We left with a feeling that this was a fast food restaurant who responded in a clumsy way to the growing walk-in queue they were facing on the night.More

We had a meal here about two years ago and really enjoyed so decided to return again in a recent stay in Warwick. The restaurant has had a recent make over with the front section decorated in a traditional pub style with timber beams etc....and the rear section a more traditional Indian restaurant. The food was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. The Goat Curry and Murgh Makhani are recommended and the Jambavan IPA went down a treatMore

I give it a 10/10 because we came in for a sit in and we thought actually we want a takeaway so we get 8 popadoms and a keema naan and a chicken tikka. We had some drinks while we waited and when we got...the bill they said the drinks are on them and at this point we are in shock so it ended up being £20 with the food so thank you so much jambervan!More

Hadn't booked but they fitted us in. We ended up changing it to a small takeaway. Thought they'd be a bit annoyed we'd changed our minds and done that. Not at all, completely fine with it. Most other restaurants (quite understandably) wouldn't have been happy....And their takeaway was delicious, we will definitely be back for a proper sit-down .More

Recently returned with my other half, the whole experience was just as good as the first time we tried it. Fantastic atmosphere paired with traditional Indian cuisine went down a treat. We had a good laugh with the host aswell, can safely say we’ll be...returning soon.More

This is our favourite restaurant. Mashuk and his chefs use quality meats and fish and offer a nice range of dishes with the emphasis on flavour and taste and which you can mix and match. We like to share 2 or 3 different choices blending...sweeter with spicier and chicken with lamb for example. If you like the ordinary run-of-the-mill, burn-your-mouth Indian then it's not for you. Personally I don't want my indian/bangladeshi food swimming in ghee and laced with chillies but if you want HOT then you need to specifically request it and they will oblige. If you like a beer with your meal then definitely try the IPA which is specially brewed for Jambavan and compliments the food brilliantly.More

Here is my complaint against the manager on duty. My family along with friends family went there today 14th March around 7:30 PM , we ordered Starter and waiter asked to give order for main course together with Starter and we did that. after getting...starter quantity was less so we ordered one more starter then main course arrived and we found the quantity we ordered for Main Dish is less then so we ordered one more Main dish then Suddenly Manager on Duty started talking so badly with very rude way he said why you are not ordering in one go, we patiently did not say anything but later we needed one more Coriander Naan to finish the supper but when we ordered that Manager was very angry, rude and talk so badly, and said NO to take order and behaved so badly in front of family, we were surprized, sad and angry at same time why he is behaving like that and we stopped eating immediately, and we paid entire for the food we eat and for the food we did not eat we ordered. Manager behaviour made us extremely sad as it was my son's birthday, i am still in shock why he behaved like that, if i am hungry and i need more food for which i am paying why he is not taking the order at around 8:30 PM. He was not doing anything just standing at Bar, i felt so bad today and we will not come to this restaurant again and will ensure that our family and friends also will not Visit Jambavan.More

No they don't deliver . Worth the trip for a takeaway and should tell you they don't need to offer delivery to maintain a healthy business . 😊.
