Recently went for a meal here, to be honest second time in the past two weeks, first a Sunday lunch and second today with a family gathering. Service and drinks I cannot fault, however the food is a little more to be desired especially with the specials which seems to mostly be whatever is left from the weekend before. Braised... More

Had a good nite here with friends, staff very friendly. Food very tasty and reasonably priced. Not a big menu choice but all food groups covered. Book ahead if you want Christmas menu.

Ended up with sticky toffee pudding so had to go for a walk afterwards to walk it off. Its a a nice place to visit although the bar area was... More

Has a few drinks here before. Always good service and a nice pint. Tried a Sunday lunch last week and it was really nice especially the cauliflower cheese. Will be back again.

We are lucky enough to live a short walk from the Millwright, so it's a handy place to call in for a quick meal. The huge garden is perfect in summer, especially if you have kids with you. The pub is friendly, staff and regulars alike, there are always a couple of friendly dogs visiting and everyone is made to... More

We had a very good meal there. Staff were friendly. The curry was excellent and so was the beef pie. Easy to park unlike in the town centre. Highly recommended.

Obviously a haunt of regulars, working men of a certain age, what I call the last staunch upholders of the pub tradition. So, a jolly, bantering atmosphere, which I prefer to that of an empty pub - all too common these days. Good pint of Doom Bar. It was a fleeting visit so can't add more.

I visited the millwright with a work colleague of mine. We felt a little out of place with a few looks from the regulars but a good pint and bit of atmosphere made up for the odd looks. We visited again for one of the world cup rugby games and had a great laugh apart from the England result the... More
