We came here for a proper afternoon tea and that’s what we got. It’s quaint and busy - so book in advance or pop in and reserve a table for a little bit later whilst you go for a wander. Whilst overall I loved it,...there were a few minor things which reduced my rating from a 5 to a 4. The menu is extensive with loads of options of teas and cakes and savoury food. There were 3 of us and we opted for the afternoon tea for 3. I loved that you could each choose a sandwich option as I don’t eat meat so I didn’t want to be stuck with ham sandwiches 🤣. You then selected a cake (how do you do this from a long list of scrumptious looking cakes)? Then a choice of a plain or fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. It’s a big serve and I’d think about doing a tea for two for three people next time! Although you can take home anything you can’t manage. The food was home style and all really good. The fillings in the sandwiches were plentiful. I had smoked salmon and they had not removed the end fatty bits (I know it’s just me) but it ruins it for me. The others had cheese and tuna which were also good. I had a cream horn (can’t remember the last time I had one) with real cream (to die for). And then a plain scone which was huge, crusty exterior, fluffy interior and warm. Clotted cream was lovely. However, whilst my two companions had a pot of tea each - I asked to swap this out for coffee as I don’t drink tea. I was offered a drip coffee (that’s fine) but it was a small cup and there was no refill. I think for the price we paid it would have been reasonable to be offered a refill. Eating all that food makes you thirsty. It’s a little thing but for 48 quid I thought it was disappointing and it definitely impacted my overall experience. Other than that, the service was good and the environment was lovely. And I’d go back.More

What a lovely English tearoom. Very friendly staff. I had the Oken Ploughmans dish displayed om the first photo, and it was great. My wife had a very nice pea soup and our daughter the ham and cheese sandwich. The room itself is nicely decorated....Go and have tea!More

Cutest little tea room ever! We loved it so much we went twice. First time we had afternoon tea with Banana tea and Rose tea. Sandwiches, scones and cakes were excellent. Clotted cream was to die for!!! Second visit we had a cottage pie and...Welsh rarebit. Both were out of this world. We tried earl grey blue lady tea on the 2nd visit as well. Best earl grey we have had. Servers were really nice.More

Wonderful Afternoon Tea Very friendly and courteous staff who welcomed us enthusiastically upon arrival. Great selection of freshly made sandwiches, which were very tasty and served with crisps and salad. The cakes were scrumptious. The best moist chocolate fudge cake ever eaten. Would highly recommend...you visit and try the wonderful food.More

We were recommended this gorgeous, traditional tea room by a local lady we met on the river walk from Harbury to Warwick. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely, homely and friendly place serving top quality foods and teas, the tea menu is longer...than the food menu 😋. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had the roast beef sandwich on Granary and my partner had the soup and sandwich. Great portion size, oh, and the price....about 30% cheaper than any place around. Certainly value for money. The bread was fresh with lovely crunchy crust, the roast beef was tender and delicious. For dessert I had the orange and Almond cake and my partner had the courgette and lime cake. So moist, tasty and again, a large portion size for £3.50 each. Seek out this hidden gem, I guarantee you won't be disappointedMore

Stopped here for a coffee and cake . Great setting and friendly welcome. Ordered a cappuccino and coffee and walnut cake which arrived promptly. The drink was great and the cake tasted fantastic. My only slight grumble is that the cappuccino was served in a...tea cup. I appreciate this is a tea house but if you are going to sell coffee it should be served in an appropriate cup.More

Found this delightful tearooms after searching for a cafe, to have breakfast whilst on the way home from the cotswolds. It is situated almost within the walls of Warwick Castle in a tudor building. Extensive beverage menu and a wide variety of cakes, homemade specials...and sandwiches. Chose two very good cheese and ham on toast with salad and coffees . All cooked to a good standard and served piping hot.More

A lovely traditional English tea room set close to the castle and offering a huge selection of teas. My party all went for a scone which got a thumbs-up but I chose the Welsh Rarebit which was excellent. Recommended for an afternoon cuppa!

We sat outside on terrace where there was a view of the castle. One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. Good choice of excellent sandwiches including smoked salmon and cream cheese which is often missing from most places nowadays. The granary bread...was amazing, light and fluffy on inside and crunchy on the crust. Sandwiches served with fresh crunchy salad and crisps on the side. Home made scone beautifully light with plenty of cream and jam. Cakes all homemade and again light and fluffy with loads of flavour. Choice of loose leaf teas. Highly Recommended. Thank you !More
