When we visited Tom O' The Wood my wife ordered the bream and I had the spicy fish & chips - both meals were excellent. For pudding we shared an Eton mess which was delicious. There was also a good choice of real ales. On the whole we would certainly visit again and would definitely recommend - the only reason... More

Absolutely charming little country pub in a superb canal-side setting. Sunday roast was amazing, melt-in-the-mouth beef and the tastiest gravy ever! Fruit crumble was perfect balance of fruit and topping. Walkers and dog-walkers are welcome and although we did not fall into either category it was lovely to see the various dogs who were allowed into the bar area. Muddy... More

Just been for dinner here as a couple. From the start, the staff were lovely and welcoming and tended to us straight away. We ordered the olives and the balsamic and oil bread appetisers which were fantastic. Our mains were the steak and kidney pudding and my partner had the chicken basket. Both mains exceeded our expectations. There was no... More

A great little place. The food was so flavorful! I got the fish and chips, my friend got the chicken basket. Both looked and tasted amazing. Be warned, they cook your food fresh and to order so it takes a while to get your food once you put your order in. If you're in a rush this isn't the place... More

Absolutely Faultless from start to finish, made to feel very special by Charlie and her amazing staff. Monk fish and rib eye steak to die for. Cosy atmosphere in the conservatory and dog blanket provided for our Labrador to sit on ( lovely touch). Many thanks Charlie your hospitality skills are Amazing

I visited here on Saturday with my 3 children, dog and a group of friends. The atmosphere was lovely and all the staff so friendly and welcoming! The food was absolutely outstanding and they had no problems in catering for my child's gluten allergy. We will definitely be coming back for more!!!!!!!!!

The staff were very friendly, but the service for food was slow. To good starters of chicken skewers and mussels. Three of us had the burger and although it looked lovely when it came, one of us unable to eat it. Its was very very salty and the gherkin mayonnaise was unpleasant and spoiled the burger completely. However the chips... More

My family and I visited here for dinner. We were a bit dubious as we hadn't visited before but I have to say the restaurant is outstanding!! The staff are polite, the food was delicious and there was a wide variety of drinks to choose from! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be visiting again asap! Thankyou
