The Cape of Good Hope appears to be the only pub in Warwick where can't just sit and have a pint and good conversation. Honestly, this is a brutal shame as the beer is so good. But if you want to just sit and enjoy pleasant conversation with friends, you will find it very difficult to enjoy that here. Whether... More

Managed to find this place thanks to google maps! Very glad I did. While staying at the nearby premier inn I did a map search and about a 15 walk later I found this pub. Right on the waterside of a canal with narrow boats outside. Approx 300 years old ,this pub was cracking. Friendly staff and a great pint.... More

The interior isn't awesome and it's quite small but the food is awesome with reasonable prices. Chicken very tender and the choice of chips is great! Would always go back.... Short walking/driving distance from the premier inn in Warwick.

Went for lunch with colleagues who were in search of real ale. This traditional looking canal side pub is a real gem. I was really surprised and charmed by the diversity of the menu. The Kiwi Beef Burger (Beetroot, Fried Egg, Salad & Tomato) was in a league of its own - wow. A colleague had the White Fish Stew... More

Ideal place to pop in if your walking, boating or fishing the Grand Union Canal. Food good and wholesome but just a touch over priced. It would have been better if the time to make the food look pretty had been used to get it out faster! The wait was a bit too long when the pub wasn't really busy.... More

Visited based on trip advisor. A great pub right on the canal. Food was really good. I had pigs cheeks which were excellent, someone else had equally good lamb and the men opted for pies. Good wine reasonably priced but the best asset has to be the staff. They could not have been more helpful or pleasant! Would definitely visit... More

Went hear for lunch with a friend, my husband and 7 week old daughter today. It's a strange little place with a really great menu and very good quality food. We didn't get a particularly friendly welcome but the food was served quickly and I really recommend the sweet potato fries as they were fab. It's not very buggy friendly... More

I have been here 3 times now with my partner and with workmates both for dinner and lunch. The food, service and fine ales here are fantastic, proper home cooked food at a sensible price, the gammon is the best in town and the specials are always a safe bet. Nice place too on a warm day right by the... More

We stopped here early on our narrow boat trip up the Grand Union. I had the famous Scotch egg - it lived up to its reputation. The lad had fish and chips and hubby had a large calamari. The beer was great and the staff were more than happy to let us try a taster before committing to a pint.... More

Warwick's Best Kept Secret. A true canal side real ale pub. The water is a few feet from the front door, adjacent to Cape top lock on the Grand Union Canal. Open & Serving Food All Day Every day from 12 noon. We have 3 permanent real ales & 3 ever changing guest ales. We served Fresh Ingredients Real Food. Great food, Great beer, Great location.
