Travelling from Canada and my partner found this place. The food was FABULOUS and the service is simply fantastic. We had a great time and it was very cozy with a beautifil ambiance.

I was visiting Warwick with the wife for our wedding anniversary and wanted to find a nice restaurant, La mesa came high on the Reviews and some times you have to take TripAdvisor with a 'Pinch of Salt', I looked deeper into the internet and...found some food critic who gave excellent reviews so had no hesitance in booking...... and we were not disappointed! This is a small and cosy restaurant, ideal for couples, a small group of friends or a business dinner. A 6 course taster menu (only option and changes every night) prepared to the quality most people dream of and only see on TV, and all for a modest set price. neighbouring tables had allergies or food preferences and this was also covered for! Don't ask me what ingredients and herbs and spices accompanied the courses, that is explained as it was served, but I can tell you that we had a Spicy Chicken Soup, Buffalo Mozzarella on a bed of Seaweed, a large Pork meatball, Giant Prawns on a bed of Risotto, Slow cooked Lamb with a truffle mash and a creamy sugar glazed dessert. Washed down with a couple of bottles of Rioja and a Spanish liqueur compliments of La Mesa! I would 100% recommend La Mesa, fantastic food, great atmosphere, warm, welcoming and attentive staff, great wine and I love the open 'not a show kitchen' but a creative kitchen! What a fantastic meal and experience. We were served a 6 course taster menu and I can honestly say I was impressed with every plate. Service was excellent and every plate was described in detail. We will definitely return

We hadn't been to La Mesa in nearly 3 years and hoped it was as amazing as before. It was even better. Sincerely the best meal I have eaten. 6 fabulous courses. I must ask, where is their Michelin star?

We loved this experience because we didn't know what we were getting and tried things we'd never usually try. We are both vegetarians but they catered for us perfectly and we enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. It's a small restaurant and so you do...need to book and there was a great atmosphere. The house wine is not what you'd normally get in terms of quality and price. We had white rioja, a great quality wine and just under £30 per bottle! The set meal (6 courses) represented good value for the quality of food and dining experience. Service is friendly and our waiter was very knowledgeable about each dish and Gerald came out to check we were enjoying each course. This is a great restaurant for those who want to try something new, are open to flavours and don't mind the unknown and who want good food and service. We'd not hesitate to return.More

Went here a couple of years ago for my birthday and it was great. Food fantastic. Service fantastic. They were singing happy birthday to me, funny 😂. 100% recommend.

The best restaurant in Warwickshire, and quite possibly one of the best ones in the country. Just go in and get ready for an amazing culinary experience of all sorts, the mix of flavours, perfectly arranged dishes and the art of cooking all together, serve...for couple of hours of pure fantasy for your senses. Stumbled upon the place early around 6pm, and although fully booked, Gerald gave us a table and made us feel most welcome, and fed us the most amazing 5 course menu. What an absolute gem of a place. The food is incredible, no set menu,...you just get what's on offer. We had gazpacho with burrata, followed by Serrano ham and beans- cannot describe how delicious it was, then prawns, then ribeye with spanakopita ( think that's the correct spelling) and it was a taste sensation, and dessert was a simple ice cream with toffee vodka- simple but tasty. All washed down with a bottle of tempranillo, and the bill was £90 for two. Absolutely worth every penny. Not only that, it is understandably booked well in advance and we were very lucky to have got the table and experienced La Mesa's great hospitality and incredible food. Can't rate it enough.More

I celebrated my 18th birthday recently at La Mesa and i had a fantastic experience. The food was wonderful and Gerald the owner was really nice making my birthday dinner a memorable one. Thanks Gerald for a fantastic night!
