Have been here 20+ times, and it never disappoints. The crispy chilli beef is to die for. I highly recommend!

Don't bother with all the fussy Thai places in the city. This is the number one Thai food restaurant to visit in Birmingham. It's a little off the beaten track but it's definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is located within a historic Victorian pub with one area dedicated to dining and the other area the bar. Both areas are... More

Happened to be staying in the area last Tuesday night and popped in for some food, totally amazed by the building, the thai food and the Oakhams beer. The menu is very good but took advantage of the two courses for a tenner only done on a Tuesday and it was very good. Well worth a visit to this gem... More

Drove past this place for many years. Decided to book us on the taste and tour. Really enjoyed the tour, the slide show was great and the guy running it was passionate about what he was saying. The food was okay. Shame this could not be on another night(weekend) as we both had to get up early for work the... More

Really impressed with the Thai food served here and the decor was lovely too. Really rough area which I wouldn't like to go to late at night though.

Visited this pub because we are real ale enthusiasts (honeslty) I was initially put off by its location. This lovely pub is not far from the city centre very easily reached due to the main dual carriageway that is right outside. This pub has stood proudly on the corner for many years and has sadly suffered neglect over the years.... More

Really enjoyed the food here. We visited at lunch time and chose from the lunch menu where all dishes were £8. Good value. Authentic taste- shut your eyes and you could be in Thailand- open them and you are in Victorian England! Great combo! The only thing I didn't like was parking my car in the car park. I was... More

I have been visiting this pub for many years now the building is amazing and beer is always spot on and as for the food it is the best Thai food I have ever tasted in particular the crispy chilli beef. I would recommend the short trip out from the city centre to anyone

The Bartons Arms is Birmingham's finest Victorian Public House & Restaurant. It offers you a wide selection of real ale, authentic Thai cuisine and hospitality that is second to none. One of the finest examples of Victorian pub architecture and one of the most beautiful pub interiors in the country, The Bartons Arms is well worth a visit. Purchased in 2002 by Oakham Ales, revelling in the challenge of its uniqueness and spotting the opportunity and timing to resurrect one of the greatest pubs in the country. A team of tradesmen, craftsmen and cleaners, owners, management and staff have returned the Bartons to its former greatness. Oakham Ales lead the field in contemporary tastes of real ales, and the Bartons now boasts their award winning beers, alongside guest ales from across the country, probably the best range of imported bottled beers in Birmingham, and of course, one of the fastest growing cuisine styles, Thai food choose from an extensive menu pepared by real Thai chefs. Now, as Birmingham promotes itself as one of Europe's finest Cities, it is a 'must go' for the diner, drinker, pub-lover and 20 million plus business and tourist visitors to Birmingham.
