Have been to Pig and Tail before but only for drinks. Tonight we decided to pop in for food and drinks before walking down to Birmingham Utilita Arena for the Genesis gig. It’s a beautifully decorated pub and has a lovely atmosphere. The lady who served us to drinks was super friendly and brought our drinks to the table. She explained that the food could be ordered at the table using the QR code or someone would come to the table to serve us (whichever was easiest for us). A lady from the kitchen popped out to us and asked what we liked and if we liked food spicy or not and pointed us in the direction of some good options. We had Seaweed crisps to pick at while waiting for our mains and they were very moorish! I chose the chicken Nasi Goreng which was absolutely delicious served with a dollop of extremely hot but very nice chilli sauce on the side of the plate, my husband had a fish noodle dish which he said was very very tasty. The whole experience from start to finish was very good and extremely good value. We made a point of thanking the kitchen when we left and can’t wait to go back and make our way through the menu as it was so difficult to choose what to pick!

What a find this place is. the decor is fab and quirky with a delightful seating area outside with a small mini bar.
Great service and very friendly on arrival.
The menu has a variety of Malaysian treats and I highly recommend the mixed platter, full of flavour and totally delicious. The chef was so friendly and very informative and met us with a big friendly smile.
We had a few drinks and the rum cocktail which is served in these little copper jugs, nice touch.
We had a great afternoon, fantastic food, service and atmosphere. This is a cracking find and I will be back.
You won’t be disappointed. Give it a go.

Went with a friend to get Mexican food for the last week of the tierrataco pop up, had their food before at their own restaurant and love it so was excited to take a friend as Pig and Tail is a lovely building. There was a young woman working on the bar with dark hair and a European accent who didn’t greet us or smile while we were waiting to be seated, and she was unfriendly and close to rude all night. Whereas,The young female waitress was lovely and friendly. We ordered at 8pm and didn’t get our food until past 9pm, when it arrived it was hardly warm and we were given a free taco of meat that neither of us could eat. As the venue closes at 10pm we felt rushed and awkward. When we did ask for the bill so we could leave quickly the bartender abruptly told us to go to the bar and then she walked away, we thought this to be rude as it had been table service all evening. I have no issue paying at the bar but the tone was unnecessary and we felt as if we’d done something wrong. The food was great in taste and the atmosphere was fun and festive so overall a good night but just a little disappointed.

I couldn’t quite believe the food when it came out, for £12 I had one of the smallest burgers I have ever seen, and quite literally a handful of chips. It tasted fine, but that was about it. I also had the please of paying £1 for water and cordial! Extremely overpriced and so many better places for the same or less around the JQ

Me and a few mates visited the pig and tail for a long awaited catch up and it ticked all boxes. Food, drink, atmosphere and service were faultless and the quality and choices of the menu were very impressive. I am looking forward to visiting again.

The venue was perfect for a late lunch after a tour of JW Evans Silver Factory down the road and also for coffee beforehand .The tasty dishes were all freshly prepared and the service from Leah was friendly and efficient .
A place to return to when next in the area .

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of town when we visited The Pig & Tail Pub , a classic back street boozer serving great craft beers .
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light and airy interior, the main narrow room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, this pub is housed in a historic pub building, once called The George And Dragon Pub, it reopened in 2016 as The Pig & Tail Pub and rapidly gainied a reputation for its great real ale's and craft beers.
We were here on a Wednesday late afternoon, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff after giving our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands we had a study of their beers on offer and we both opted to have Tiny Rebal Brewery " pale ale " these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My pale ale was outstanding, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of caramel and a big hit of hops, really good aroma and very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of.
We both really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Pig & Tail Pub we had a marvellous time.
The Pig & Tail Pub is easy to locate along Albion Street.
Opening hours are;
Monday, Closed.
Tuesday to Thursday, Midday till 10pm.
Friday & Saturday, 11am till 11pm.
Sunday, 11am till 6pm.
A wonderful pub, if your in the area most definitely well worth checking out.

I found this place on an off chance and was not disappointed! The atmosphere was lovely and the service was brilliant, special mention to Adam! I had a burger for lunch. It was a decent size, the meat had a lot of flavour and you get a big slice of bacon and gherkin. Delicious! Will definitely be back to try the evening menu. Recommended!

Really enjoyed our meal at the PiG and Tail! The outside courtyard was lovely and well-decorated. The area felt safe with contactless ordering, sanitiser and a one way system. We loved the food from Lisa and Pann’s Kitchen - super authentic Asian cuisine! The servers were very friendly and delivered everything quickly. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back and absolutely recommend!

Came here on Saturday night, was going to stay for food but after being made to wait for so long at a bar that wasn't busy we thought we would spend our money elsewhere. The two bartenders were both acting very strange. Neither of the two ladies looked like they were going to bother serving the waiting customers and when I said excuse me I got a scowl off one of them. We had one drink and then left. We couldn't understand their behaviour but we won't bother visiting again as there are better bars/restaurants in the area.

Visited for the pub quiz with my partner and we had a lovely time.
We had the big boy bird her and the finger lickin fiery chicken burger with chips and loaded fries. Was delicious!!
The pub quiz was great and was very busy. the prizes were very good as well!
We will definitely be back in the week to try the sweet treats and we will be doing the quiz monthly!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly team too. We hadn’t realised last orders for the kitchen was 8pm the time of our booking so they helped us get our order in ASAP. It did arrive in a bit of a back to front order is mains before starters but that aside it was really flavoursome

This pub is a little gem! We had never had the pleasure before, and visited for a family celebration and had access to the courtyard at the rear. It’s a little haven of wonderfulness, a great selection of beers, different from the normal run of the mill choice you get at so many bars, a great selection of hot nibbles and super service.

Have been here quite a few times as are very local to the pub. The service is always great, the drinks are amazing and the food hits the spot.
The beer garden is such a hidden gem, and with dogs this is a great location and extremely dog friendly.
This is a must visit, even if just for a quick drink or bite to eat for lunch. Always support local and independent!
