Were really pleased to find this gem of a restaurant, especially as I prefer to eat vegetarian where I can and this definitely fit the bill. I had the mousakka which wasn't quite what I had expected as I hadn't noticed it was vegan so...didn't have the usual bechamel sauce (and come to think of it potatoes), it came with rice. This turned out to be a very good option as it was delicious, as was the hummus starter. Service was extremely pleasant and they kindly provided doggy bags for what we were unable to eat at the table. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!More

We had been recommended to visit this restaurant before Covid but last night was the first time we got around to actually booking to go there. A pity because we have been missing out! We all had the set menu, but you get to select...your main courses. The meze mixed starters were plentiful, very tasty and would almost have been enough with nothing else. My wife is gluten and diary intolerant, and the restaurant went out of its way to ensure this was fully catered. All of the staff were very friendly and polite. You can take your own drinks and just pay a small corkage charge, unless you have the set menu in which case there is no charge. They even prepared a special dessert for my wife, which was very nice! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed all of our food and certainly will be going back .More

A group of us went to Cricket at Edgbaston on Saturday and I chose this restaurant as it was close by Holiday Inn Express. None of had eaten Syrian food before. We were recommended the set menu which was different cold meze. Then there was...several choices of main and baklava. The service was excellent by a lovely lady who came from Ethiopia. After reading the reviews and not familiar with eating out in Birmingham (the restaurant was close to our hotel) I was greatly looking forward to eating at Syriana. I was not disappointed - the food and service from our excellent waitress was sublime. We were...guided through the menu and happily took the advice, the food was absolutely delicious.
