Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Food average, nice but nothing special. Balti was boring, as we are in Birmingham a proper pot and tastier sauce was expected .

Have been to Milan after a long time. This time we had Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Biryani? Peshawari Naans, Onion Bhajji, Paneer Chilli along with a few items. The lamb was tenderly cooked and delicious. The naans matched the flavor combination. We will definitely visit...Milan again.More

Over priced small portions, poor flavours, the waiter said I was wrong when I made a comment - I know what I'm talking about! Won't go again and can't recommend

Looks high end, great deco and interesting menu. Yet the food was pretty tasteless. I'm no chef, but samosas made with filo pastry do not work. Bland, oil laden parcels with very little taste. As for the main course, two dishes made using condensed tomato...soup...really!!! Most expensive bowl of tomato soup with a bit of spice chucked in i have ever had. The menu is adorned with images of spices, yet these didn't find it into our dishes. The dansak, well...no heat and very boring. Nan breads have been no where near a tandoori. Service and presentation top notch, but really overpriced and disapointingly unimaginative food.More

I visited Milan Indian Cuisine with friends on Friday evening (14 July 2023), as we were staying nearby in the City, for the T20 Cricket Finals Day at Edgbaston. It was new to me, but somewhere my friends had visited before and had praise for...- and now I can see why! I have a nut allergy, and although my options on Indian menu’s are limited, I have to be extremely careful. I made the staff aware of this as we took to our table, and from the start they were hugely accommodating, helping me with what was nut-free, they stayed with me until I had made my order. Really was exceptional! I had a starter of Grilled Salmon, which was very nice, and then a main of Lamb Rogan Josh, with Pilau Rice and a garlic naan. A dish I usually go for to be safe, it was one of the best I’ve had! Full of meat and flavour! A huge thanks, particularly to Nico, who’s service was fantastic! We shall be visiting next year for the Cricket finals! 👍🏽More

We run a pub & understand frustrations when bad reviews are left, especially when it’s really unjust. We also understand how frustrating it is when people come into the pub, five minutes before we’re due to close & are looking forward to bed. So tonight,...we passed Milan & thought we’d see if we could get a table. It’s 10pm & the door said it was open & we were welcome. Asked if we could have a table for two, were told yes & shown to a table. As we were sitting, we’re told how lucky we were as they were just closing. Cue us being rushed within an inch of our lives. Mains came whilst we had a popadom each left, all staff staring at us from the bar, refilling our wine glasses whilst still half full. When the guy asked if meal was ok, we said that we felt really rushed, said we understood their frustrations but suggested they turned us away rather than making us feel rushed. Very apologetic, and offered us … £2.25 off the bill. Lied about the system not allowing any more (they took order on paper… there’s no system issue). Told them I was insulted & paid the full amount. Seemed to insinuate we’d been there before trying to get a discount. We live 30+ miles away. Food was very bland but that’s not really the issue here. Giving them two stars because I can’t take one star reviews seriously as they’re just mainly disgruntled idiots that leave them. That’s all I got 🤷‍♂️More

Fabulous food and always a warm welcome, good selection of reasonably priced drinks and some of the best food. Good selection of starters soy Manchurian a favourite, I’m not vegetarian but love their vegetarian options Staff always on hand to discuss menu and make recommendations...Regular visitors as family or as a couple never had bad curry or service On way to jewellery quarter so little walk from central drinking area but we’ll worth the effortMore
