We specifically went here for the table naan & it didn't disappoint. Food was decent, table naan perfect but service a little lack lustre. Average prices. Better to think of this as a type of Indian cafe rather than a plush restaurant. Still, not many places you can get table naans!

Fabulous chicken and spinach Balti for lunch. Quick but freshly made with excellent Naan. Would definitely return when next visiting Birmingham.

Early evening meal before a gig at The Hare & Hounds. this meal was one of the best i have had in a very long time. Beautifully cooked in the balti dishes. Not overloaded with sauce, and the smaller pieces of chicken worked a treat. Plenty of choice in the area, but you can't go wrong with this place

Food was very oily and greasy,we didn't want to drink water at all as because that jug of water was so dirty and mouldy it was discusting..service absolutely zero customer service,no hello,no how can I help,no smile,nothing...took order... Probably one of the best Indian meals I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. I had the Sagg Balti and it was wonderful. I would definitely revisit if I went to Birmingham again. Definitely pre book as despite booking we still waited a little bit for a table.

Recently visited Shababs for an evening meal. This is an original Balti house, so don't expect a lot of sauce to be served with the meal, if anything its a little on the dry side. Having said that, the food is perfectly acceptable and the only criticism would be the amount of salt added, its far too much. We had... More

We visited this restaurant this weekend for a work meal. Once seated, staff provided us with poppadoms, and fresh water. We placed our orders, and we received our starters shortly after. My starter was thoroughly enjoyable, but it repeated on me most of the night. I ordered a karahi and rice. I was going to share the rice with a... More

My fifth meal at Shababs; I had to do a lot of 'research' to make sure that this is my new favourite curry house in Birmingham - well in the world actually. I have visited with four different friends and all thought the food excellent in quality, taste and value. The service adds to the experience, the waiters are friendly... More

Visited with my girlfriend, the staff were very helpful and easy going considering the fast paced environment. The restaurant was clean and the decor was fantastic Indian style. The food was excellent the best Indian we have ever had. The Birmingham balti is really in a league of its own, the chicken was beautifully cooked along with all the other... More
