We had two course set meal. We started with a bowl of delicious soup served with brioche, followed by cod loins with crushed new potatoes, green beans and pesto cream. The food was of excellent quality with superb presentation. this was our pre theatre meal and so we were there at about 5.30pm. At that time the restaurant was empty. This place has got a lovely atmosphere. The price of the set menu is very reasonable and recommended

I have visited this restaurant twice now and both times I have been very impressed. First time I visited with my mum for lunch and we ordered the following: blood orange margarita, glass of Zinfandel, Linguine alla Marinara, Gnocchi alla Sorentina, a bread basket, a panna cotta and a tiramisu. It was all delicious and arrived fast. Presentation was also spot on It all came to £56 which is fantastic value for the quality of food and service. On my second visit with a friend we ordered Mushroom ravioli and Gnocchi alla Sorentina plus a tiramisu and a wanna cotta. Same service and great value as above. The decor is gorgeous and the canal view makes it a great experience all round. I am very impressed so cannot wait to go back.

First trip out since lockdown and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were wonderful nothing was too much trouble. I had the homemade breads with tzatziki houmous oil and balsamic and my partner had prawn and avocado both delicious and more generous portions than I imagined. For mains I had chicken souvlaki which tasted lovely and the other half had salmon and his words were ‘it’s the best salmon I’ve ever had’ so pretty good rating. The mains took a while to come out but they gave us a complimentary drink afterwards which was nice without us even having a moan. Location is lovely looking into the canal and the decor is stunning. Definitely return

We went for lunch and managed to get a table without booking. Manu limited but assuming this is due to covid. My “king prawn and avacado salad” had no avocado and the prawns were certainly not king. Service was not good, unfriendly staff, didn’t bring condiments when asked twice.on the plus side it’s a pretty location May have just been an off day for the restaurant but this has put me off from ever returning,

We have been a few times and decided to book the private room which is amazing for our Christmas couples meal. All I can say that Laila and the team were amazing. Laila was so attentive and helpful from the booking to the day. She knows how to look after people and feels more like a friend 😁 We had Birthdays and a engagement announcement and she sorted out special triamasu cakes which were divine. It a fussy group of 17 and every single person enjoyed every course plus the lemoncello shots compliments from the house. I would say my seafood salad was to die for! I will definitely be returning as well as those that attended that night! Thanks to Laila and the team to making it so memorable!!!

I went there for my 25th birthday. Amazing table service. The food was discounted due to the eat out to help out scheme so we decided to get a bottle of wine with our meal. The food was beautiful. Really happy I went here it was a great choice. Especially with the canal view. They gave me a complimentary dessert for my birthday which was very sweet.

Found this place by using trip advisor and when I saw the menu I had to visit and was not to far from our hotel. We were early and taken straight to table which was in a smaller room to the side of the main area and ordered drinks. Our starter arrived they were amazing my husband said they were some of the best mussels he had ever eaten. When ordering the mains I was struggling to make a choice so I asked the waitress for her recommendation, when it arrive at the table there had been a mix up as we received both courses I wanted and not my husbands. The waitress was very apologetic, arranged for the correct meals to be cooked from fresh and free drinks. When the correct meals arrived it was the best pasta I have ever eaten it was amazing and the lemon dessert was heavenly. This restaurant looked stunning, the waitress and chefs are amazing and I would recommend anyone visiting Birmingham this place is an absolute must.

The restaurant is absolutely stunning with floral touches. The staff are attentive & friendly & social distancing was in place. We ordered the bread board which is probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten. For mains I ordered the lobster with fresh pasta cooked in lobster bisque & my husband ordered the penne with chicken, peppers & mushrooms finished in a mascarpone sauce. Both dishes were beautifully cooked & pipping hot. We both ordered chocolate fondant for dessert which looked beautiful, was perfectly cooked & very moreish. My only criticism is that portion sizes are small for the prices you are paying. The chocolate fondant was £10 & probably one of the smallest fondants I have ever eaten. I totally understand quality over quantity, however after bread, pasta & a dessert, I didn’t expect to return home searching for a snack!

We were booked into Noels on 25/09/2021 for a 7:30 sitting, we were seated near the window however they had crammed 4 tables of 2 into a space that was clearly only meant for 3 tables we ended up having to move as you couldn't fit through the gap. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time due to a near 20 min wait for service, the drinks were good however the food is where the problems came. We ordered the fish platter however it came without a dipping sauce and a lot of the fish smelt off. For mains we ordered the seafood linguine and seabass both had little to no flavour and we had no choice but to coat in salt. When it came to ask for the bill we ended up asking for it 4 times i had no choice but to walk to the counter and ask for the bill. Honestly this was completely ridiclious for the price you were paying, there are plently of better restaurants in the city id recommend you go anywhere else.

A friend recommended Noel's situated on the canalside in Birmingham. So on this visit to Birmingham I decided to visit Noel's on a sunday evening. It was very quiet but the staff informed me that had been busy during lunch. First of all, decor of Noel's is pretty and decorated in an art deco style. I loved the colours and the set up of the restaurant and I peeked into the private dining room which was pretty. From the menu, upon recommendation of my lovely waitress I ordered the Gamberoni Piccanti ( Oven roasted tiger prawns with fresh tomato, garlic, chilli & homemade bread) and oh my this starter was delicious and so prettily plated. It was after a long time I had tasted such an amazing starter. For my mains, I ordered the monkfish but sadly the fish had finished. I ordered the Chargrilled Chicken Souvlaki (Two skewers of marinated chicken, Mediterranean salad, potatoes, yogurt) . This dish was tasty as well and very generous portions. I sadly did not have any room to taste any dessert although I really wanted the chocolate fondant...maybe next time. The menu is varied and the chicken is halal. My friend told me the seafood platter was good so next time that will be my choice. Food was amazing and the service was good, friendly and informative. I cannot wait to visit Noel's on my next trip to Birmingham.

Poor service, staff not engaged and unfriendly mistakes made with drinks served to wrong people, bday girls food came after all others had finished, mash was instant not fresh, cheese had hard crusts no one ate the cheeseboard. Tiramisu was like an off the shelf packet buy Sadly disappointing with the price I’d expected more long waits for drinks and food to come . I get better at the local carvery Drinks were very nice .

Had a really nice meal, didn't book and they found us a table, it wasn't busy however. Nice start, friendly etc. 50 minutes later, had not managed to order a drink or food. When I asked a young Waitress She soon came back to take the order. further minutes I asked one of the more senior staff if we could get our drinks at least. Polite response, drinks arrived a couple of minutes or so later. Spilled pint on the table and my leg, no issue and I stated as much to the Waitress. She offered a replacement but I said it was fine. Explained we had waited more than 50 minites for drinks and She rudely stated we hadn't and that She would be checking. Great start...an hour in. Rest of the meal was uneventful, luckily we had ordered everything in one go. Great food to be fair, obviously not cooked by front of house 😊. Bill came, I stated that after the service errors and long wait that I wasn't happy to pay the 10% service charge that was automatically added to my bill, and asked for a VAT receipt to show the bill minus the 10%, the the young Waitress was very polite the whole night said she would get someone, a senior member of staff came and was very rude about the receipt, I wasn't getting one. Simple, that was my receipt and that was that. Not had as bad service (apart from the young Waitress who was very polite and helpful) for 10 years or more, and I eat out several times a week at times (working away). I believe in being courteous to people working in their environment and expect the same from people working in an environment where I am their customer. Yes Covid has put strain on some trades, but they need people more than ever so you would expect at least some decent service.... if that's not possible, through lack of recent experience, than fine. But an apology here and there would not go amiss. Let them get back in the swing of things if you want a smooth night, because the senior staff are obviously not up to the job of keeping customers relaxed and happy after their own troubles of the past year.

I ordered a gin tonic with gin mare, the blonde waiter bringed me a gin tonic with all other type of garnish, I asked then if it was gin mare. She told me: gin tonic no? And she left the drink on the table. I'm a bartender and I knew by the taste that it wasn't gin mare. At the end, on the bill, was signed Bombay sapphire gin tonic. That's not what I asked. Also we order two cold starters and we waited 15-20 minutes for them, even if it wasn't busy

Dear PocketMadness7, I want to thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback with us, we are very disappointed to hear about the misunderstanding of your drink. Here at Noel's we do use only fresh ingredients and all our starters are made from scratch in-house, that is why you might had to wait for 15 minutes. We would definitely like to see you back, if you give us the chance, we will try to win you back.

After researching a number of restaurants, I decided to take my mother to Noel's to celebrate her birthday as the reviews are good and the photos of the food and decor are attractive. From the minute we entered to the time we left, we were given attentive and friendly service by Callum who made much effort to ensure that my mum was having a lovely time. We had the two course set menu with cocktails and this was very well-priced. The portions were generous, delicious and well-presented. We particularly enjoyed the seabass and the creamed spinach was delicious. At the end of the meal, Callum surprised my mum with a complimentary pistachio cheesecake bite with a candle and the plate was beautifully decorated too. She was also presented with a glass of limoncello! We felt very pampered and haven't had such a leisurely lunch in ages!

Service was incredibly slow and it took us 20 minutes to order a drink. When the table next to us received their drinks before us after ordering after us we were a little puzzled. They also got their order wrong so once we asked where our drinks were I'm pretty sure they brought over their intended Mojito plus another for my friend. Both virgin Mojitos were in different glasses so one lasted longer than the other. The food was OK. I ordered the seafood risotto... I wouldn't rave about it. All in all a little bit of a let down.
