Visited on 21st June to celebrate mom's birthday with family. Could not find fault, welcome was friendly, service was excellent and every course delivered. Could not have done better, except I wish my slice of Key Lime Pie had of been bigger, but that is because I love my pud's.

Good workout for your forearm that is. Went here with a friend as he had heard the steak was up there with the best. I had the fillet on the bone and I have to say it was quite good. Quite tasty and quite tender with a very pleasant pepper sauce. My friend had the T-bone steak which was as... More

I agree with Lettie999 in that I would totally ignore any negative reviews. We have been to this place several times and recently took friends there. Again as before, exceptional food, delicious steaks, tapas, fish dishes all cooked and presented beautifully. Good portion sizes too and reasonable price. Nice cosy almost mediteranean type setting, the staff deserve a big mention,... More

Been going to this place since the early nineties back when it was called the Bucklemaker. Always loved this cellar bar and called in today for lunch and a bit of reminiscing with a colleague. We had the tapas and a bottle of Malbec. Both were superb. Something a bit different for either lunch or dinner in Birmingham.

I had high hopes for Andersons and I would say it wasn’t wholly awful, I just don’t think it lived up to the expectations I had. I ordered the fillet, which was a bit tough to cut and chew. The Béarnaise sauce, however, was pretty delicious. The ambiance is good and the waitstaff were helpful, I was just underwhelmed with... More

Pleasant restaurant. Total bill of £190 for 4 diners. Steaks perfectly good and service fine. Nothing bad or out of place but nowhere near outstanding given the expense. Felt staff should have greeted on arrival with a cheery hello and been there upon departure...little things make a big difference. Better attention to service and customer care is available at Opus... More

Me and my husband went for drinks around St Paul's Square. We were undecided where to eat and ended up in Anderson's. Must say it was 10/10. Amazing. One of the best meals we've had. It doesn't look much from the outside or stair way but the place is stunning inside. Great service. Will be returning.

Description
Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
