Checked this place out with my wife & 2 young daughters on my birthday. Had the Shorthorn T-bone, and it was lovely, definitely one of the best steaks I've had. The staff were very attentive and nice. I felt the atmosphere lacked a little something,...More

Been to a few steak houses around and I can say that this is the best so far. Perfectly cooked steak with amazing sides. Not too expensive. Highly recommended

I went to Andersons with my husband on a Saturday night for the first time after reading the positive reviews on tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. It's a lovely restaurant where you don't feel crammed in like sardines and has a modern feel to it. The...More

Had a good meal at Andersons, but maybe expectations were too high. The porterhouse steak was fine, but not outstanding, but the starters were okay. I had the moules, but they were small and some were overlooked. The baked Camembert was perfectly good. However, the...More

We went here on a Saturday early evening. Food was very good and the staff were very attentive. Both the steak and the surf and turf offerings were good, and dessert was very well presented.

Description
Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
