We have never visited Birmingham before therefore we bought a voucher from Wowcher for this Restaurant. It was also our wedding anniversary. We booked the table and sat down to order. The server and manager advised us that they do not use Wowcher any longer to which we were disappointed to hear. However the manager was so accommodating and promised a significant discount on the bill. We had 2 starters and 2 mains and it was the best Indian cuisine that we have ever tasted. It was absolutely amazing. The staff were so nice, polite and helpful. Forgetting the Wowcher problem which wasn’t the restaurants issue. We had a lovely night and ate really well. Thank you.

It’s hard to put in words what a great time we had. The food was flavorful and plenty of it! Innan and his counterpart provided excellent service! The whole experience was nothing but excellent! We had the Balti Chicken, Dhansak Lamb, Patgia Lamb, and Tikka stir fry. The Pathia had a nice kick to it, and the others were mild as only I like spicy food. A better term to use is flavorful. Everything had such a terrific flavor, it was hard to not share. I highly recommend the Tandoori Sizzler (for 2 people) appetizer. You get 3 appetizers in one and enough to share. If you are looking for excellent Indian cuisine at a very fair price with excellent customer service, then Celebrity Indian is definitely worth a visit!

Visited here while staying close by for a gig. Fancied a curry so looked online, but walking past saw their Happy Hours Menu which was ideal, so booked a table! When we got there, there was only one other couple there so extremely quiet which meant the atmosphere was a bit odd. We were given menus, but no offer or mention of the Happy Hours Menu being available, which was what we went for. So we had to ask and then be brought different menus - If you're going to offer something, at least then actually offer it to people when they come in. The food was good, but considering there was only two tables in, it should have been hot and it wasn't, which was dissapointing. My biggest frustration was the staff and how the held themselves. It's marketed as almost a bit of an upper market restaurant, but one waiter who served us just seemed to get a little too familiar and have off conversations with customers. Talking about his divorce and the bank taking his money from him when they shouldn't... It was just too much and so loud. While he was talking to the other couple, we had to listen to the whole thing! He then proceeded to have some more unprofessional conversations towards the kitchen and bar, but again at the top of his voice so we could hear him swearing and telling inappropriate stories. Really ruined the mood for what should have been a nice romantic dinner. When we wanted our plates cleared and to pay so we could head off, we were literally then ignored by the staff. Sat politely trying to catch someone's eye which never really came so I had to attempt to go up to pay before they finally realised we were still waiting. All in all, it was a spoiled meal with the intrusive, loud staff member so wouldn't visit again when back in Birmingham.

Tried to add £40 into infobill and hope we wouldn't notice Gave a Madras curry to my sister who ordered a chicken curry, hurt her throat, imagine If she had allergic reaction to it ( fortunate why she didn't) Chips fried so bad they looked like crisps Leaves a very bad taste in your mouth when the place is empty, and their excuse. For trying to add £40 to bill was , we got it mixed it with another table, basically Tried to charge us for 6 extra beer's, waiter was starting uncomfortably as we looked at bill so it was on purpose Food isn't great, we won't be back

Terrible evening; turned up at 5.30pm. They advertised 3 courses for £18.95 every day until 7pm. Told we couldn’t have that - false advertising. Ordered food and drinks from their main menu. Took 15 mins to bring two beers. Waited for over 1.5 hours for the food and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Nobody came to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to go to the bar to ask for a second drink. When the food eventually came out it was warm. One of the dishes we ordered was lamb and they gave us chicken. Having read the previous reviews we were expecting a decent curry; what we got was mediocre. Will not recommend this place to anybody.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was beyond pathetic—bland, tasteless, and not even close to authentic Indian cuisine. To make matters worse, the customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. The staff was rude, inattentive, and made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. Honestly, it's better to stay hungry than to waste your time and money at this place. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

The menu online was very different from the prices quoted. I ordered a take away Everything on the menu on the website was a good £2-£3 more expensive when I went to pay. The guy claimed to not know that the menu online had different prices!!! Then got cross saying to me to Hurry Up as he had other customers waiting when I tried to talk to him about it. Pretty poor service.

Hi Rajni, Thank you for valuable feedback, we understand your frustration with the pricing. Unfortunately with the cost of living and inflation some of our dishes have a little price increase as you are aware this is the case throughout the country. We haven’t got round to updating our menu and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We did honour you a 10% discount which was not mentioned in your review. It was myself who took your payment and I can confirm I did not say "hurry up I have customers waiting". We take all reviews seriously and always look for ways to improve. However we can only go by genuine honest reviews. Best Wishes M Miah

The service was good enough that I have nothing to say about it, exactly what you'd expect from a good restaurant. The Lamb Tikka Stir Fry tasted absolutely amazing and was well presented on the plate. The food my friends ordered looked very good also, and I heard no complaints from them. Where some other indian restaurants have been lacklustre in terms of providing enough food to fill you up, Celebrity Indian's meal size did a great job of leaving me feeling full, but not too full - a very satisfying meal and experience all around. Would recommend it to absolutely anyone who likes Indian food!

Late night off the street selection. Empty when I entered. Portions decent but rather lacking in taste and spice. Beware if you order a selection of starter as your main course, you get charged for a main course even though it only appears to be. start portion!

Have dined here several times before, always chosen from the "Happy Hour" menu and fully enjoyed every meal... until yesterday. We arrived at 5.30 and were told the above menu was not in operation over the Xmas period, despite being advertised outside. We accepted this at face value and ordered off the A la Carte. The meal was good, the staff friendly, but when we left (at 6.35) we saw someone given the "Happy Hour" menu. Had we been offered this we would have saved about £30 on the overall cost. We felt we had been misled and will not visit again

The food came quickly, probably too quickly to be freshly cooked. Both of us had main dishes which contained very little meat and loads of sauce. The naan bread was excellent but the poppadum accompaniments were poor. They add service on for you and it came to over £70 for a couple of mains and a couple of drinks. Expensive for a very average meal.

I ordered a Thali starter which surprised me when it came served on a plate with a "deconstructed" onion bhaji - interesting and very pleasant. Cobra beer was nicely chilled but surprisingly overpriced, Main course Machli Bengal is a deliciously spiced white fish served with a pilau rice with loads of carmomom. Naan bread hot and lovely, sag aloo (spinach/potato) very good No room for dessert...

The Indian food on offer here was a delicious, faultless, tasty, spicy delight. The moistest chicken I’ve ever tasted in the garlic chilli chicken and a meltingly tender lamb Karachi. A warm, friendly atmosphere and a charming waiter in Hamza, made our meal an unforgettable experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Mediocre food, curry diving in too much sauce and little meat. Slow service insisting to offer several drinks while waiting too long for food. In favor is good to say that it's very well located and nicely decorated.

Surprised that despite Covid restrictions now being lifted, this curry house was empty on a Saturday night! Ok meal, prices on the higher side of average. We had to ask for poppadoms and the rose wine tasted like vinegar. Lots of staff doing nothing and to top it off over £5 service charge added to the bill!!! Probably wouldn’t return with some many other venues to try.
