What a beautiful building. Very impressive frontage and plenty of ornate decor inside. Lot of interesting historical facts found inside about Gladstone, JRR Tolkein etc. Standard breakfast menu for Wetherspoons, usual good tasty standard. Just a pity coffee machine was not working that morning as...More

Typical Wetherspoons, but you really cannot knock it for value and choice. Loads of variety, good vegetarian food options, good value drinks, great for a night out in the week or for lunch

Visited today for a cheap and cheerful lunch. Four meals, change from £35, quick pleasant service and decent food and portions...no quibbles.

Had a tea time meal with friends. It had been many years since I last visited the Black Horse I was impressed on the improvements and decor. Very busy but the meal and service was good

Quick visit for a quick drink. Lots of choice as a cider fair was being promoted. A little bit of a wait to be be served but all in all a reasonable visit. We didn't have food.
