Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Description says warm friendly welcome and beer garden great for dogs. Lies. We just went to sit in the garden with our small, well behaved dog and were then subjected to the 'warm friendly welcome' by a very rude, brusque woman stating that dogs aren't...allowed on the premises. We went there because of their description of being dog friendly. We were made to leave. Couple on next table were disgusted too and told us never to go back...we certainly wontMore

My wife and i planned a stop for a meal and pint here on the way to Air parks Airport parking before our holiday. We were greeted with a smile from the lovely Violet who served us our drinks. We ordered our meals which came...in good time and were made to feel welcome, a great start to our holiday. Keep up the good customer relations Violet. Thankyou.More

Nice play area for the kids on a sunny day and friendly helpful staff. Food was cheap but found what looked like a pube in our food. Was offered a desert or a drink, refused both and left.

Haven't been here in a few months as I wasn't impressed with the new menu since it changed management. I came today with my boyfriend and daughter. We ordered food with a handwritten kids menu. I ordered a mixed grill and my boyfriend ordered the...All day breakfast. First of all his eggs were black and crispy. Totally unedible. No butter came with his toast. I complained about the eggs and lack of butter which they said they'd change. Took 10 mins for new eggs. Still a bit crispy. My mixed grill was cold. Steak was rare to med rare when I asked for medium and it was cooked folded over. The whole thing tasted burnt. Left most of my food. Peas were freezing. Wasn't asked by the waitress if our meals were ok. Didn't even ask if my daughter was finished but took her meal anyway. Very disappointed. We will NEVER come here again for food. The only thing this pub is good for is the beer garden in the summer. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. Discusting all round. Was offered a free drink for the eggs but not much of a consolation prize for the poor food and service. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUEMore

Ordered ten min before half time of a football game 30 mins later no food I went to the outside of the kitchen and asked where my food was Amazingly it came out at that time How long had it been kept on the hot...plate Yet to be fair my gammon was quite good , however the mash , certainly had not been anywhere near a potato Obviously powdered rubbish I asked for butter, was begrudgingly given a small portion Later the atmosphere was intimidating with very strong foul language , management did nothing to stop it Will not returnMore

As a local pub it's not somewhere I can consider a safe environment for very young toddlers , I found that piece of rebar lying in the grass as kids were playing football !

This is a large pub which can do better, how they get any customers back in is confusing. Beer was just about passable. No real ale displayed in the main bar, as they had run out, if I had not asked, would not have known...any available. Food service is shocking as is the food. Food comes minus half the stated items on the menu & is served mainly cold. No partial refunds offered by the staff either. Considering it only just got taken over end of Sept 15 by Heineken the place is worse not better. The back ground music is awful, having 2 different types of crap music blaring out at the same time gave me a headache before I had even left the building. Sport is shown on the numerous tv's. Am in no hurry to re-visit here at all.More
