I tracked this Sushi Restaurant down on a flying trip to Birmingham and I arrived on my own and it was incredibly welcoming buy the two girls and I was given a seat at the table in front of the two chefs. I’m so grateful...for that as I was made to feel very welcome and being alone wasn’t awkward at all ❤️🍣 The sushi was the best I’ve ever eaten and trust me I’ve eaten a lot all over the World ! The two chefs were extremely busy but calm and watching them work together was pure skill and harmony, they communicated through the food and not with words, it was a joy to watch. Please go there and enjoy, respect the skills and art of sushi making, all the food leaving the kitchen looked absolutely delicious, mine wasMore

I've been enjoying sushi passion for many years now, and it always delivers the best. Love their sushi, the atmosphere and drinks. My favourite is yuzu and lychee sake, when I'm in a different mood, I like to have my plum wine 🍷. Can't go...wrong. I visited today after a while. I had spicy tuna gunkan, miso soup, tiger roll, and for the first time I tried their home made ice cream, very interesting combination. Mine was Caramel & Miso and also Raspberry & Chilli, was very interesting and delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend anyone to try this place and treat yourself with good food😇More

Best sushi I've had in Birmingham, reasonably priced if you're sharing and a super chilled atmosphere. Would recommend 🍣

You want sushi? This place has all the sushi you could ask for at modest prices. I just wish the inside was bigger because it's such a lovely and intimate interior that is very warm and inviting. Unfortunately we had to sit outside which detracted...from the experience somewhat, but the food was still great. I would recommend the traditional set for those looking for something simple but with variety. The more adventurous of you can order a variety of different options and fish, so there is something for everyone.More

An odd experience. I had booked a table for a business lunch. I was sat at the table and had to get up to ask for a drink as I was ignored for longer than I was prepared to wait. The food - great, loved...it, although my server contradicted a menu item but I couldn't be bothered to take the point. But then part way through the service I got an email from Opentable telling me the booking was cancelled. This means I didn't get my 100 points and of course the restaurant pays Opentable for the booking system so I suspect something fishy was going on here. Then, they refused to give me a printed receipt. They took my email and said it would be sent to me. It never was. Again, something fishy about that. I have reported the incident to Opentable and to Birmingham Trading Standards, so we will see what happens as the combination of these incidents raises questions. I will not return, there is something that comes across as being not quite right about the whole set up.More

Amazing!! The sushi was so fresh and so delicious! Highly recommend the salmon teriyaki set that I had, so tasty with a kick of spice. My partner had the vegetarian set and said it was really tasty. Staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn’t...do enough. Was so nice seeing the chefs prepare our food right in front of us. It’s an fairly small restaurant but it doesn’t feel squished or crowded, decor was lovely too. Will definitely go again, highly recommend!More

Me and Partner came here on a Saturday. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. The sushi was excellent. Had a quick look at some of the reviews. There seems to be some people who said the service was. That wasn't our experience at all. All...the staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. We can't wait to go back!More

Terrible experience! The sushi was not good and the wine we ordered was terrible. But what really made the experience a nightmare was the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the staff. As as as we tasted the wine we asked to change it which they agreed...to, but then when the bill was presented to us, they insisted we pay for both the wine we tasted and sent back right away and the one we substituted it with (sake, for the same price). My husband pointed out to the waiter they were making a mistake and he even spoke with the manager, but they insisted we paid for both because “they already poured it”... Talk about unprofessionalism! Additionally, my husband had asked through OpenTable to prepare a cake for me given it was my birthday but of course they did not prepare anything. Fortunately, my husband and I were fast to eat so that we were able to go to the Ivy nearby for another dinner and actually have a pleasant night. For a meal of well over £100 for two people, it is absolutely absurd to be treated in such a way. Mediocre food and super unprofessional staff!More

Our last bill was just under £80, and as a person that does not like to spend much on food, this was an exception. The quality of the food and the feel of the atmosphere was worth every penny. But if money was limited and... More
