Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food, service and atmosphere was exceptional. From when you walked in to being seated, order taken and then enjoying the meal. Staff were polite and the food came in a timely fashion even though they were so busy, and rightly so. Everything was so...tasty and we just wanted to try everything on the menu. Hospitality impeccable. Cannot wait to return! Thank you 😊More

I have been here previously with friends. On this occasion I had forgotten my reading glasses and as the menu is such tiny print I had to allow my sister in law to read it for me. I told here I had a prawn dish...on my last visit and loved it. There were 3 prawn dishes and I was unsure. Everyone was waiting for my order so I chose a boring vegetable biriani for speed. What an appalling mistake. There was so much chilli in the rice part that I only ate two spoonfuls before tears were streaming down my eyes. I told the waitress who just laughed. A charming attitude to good that was inedible. What a waste of money. I went home and ate cheese and biscuits in order to take my meds which have to be taken with food.More

My family had a very disappointing visit to the Covered Wagon on my daughters birthday. We had been previously enjoyed meals at the establishment. However on a visit on the 1st November we endured a miserable time. When we sat down the place was cold...a lot of people were eating with their coats or heavy fleeces on, I had to do my fleece up to my neck. I asked the waitress if they could put the heating up and she said she would have a word with the manager. Nothing happened. Plates for your food are already on the table so on this occasion with the building cold the plates were freezing. We ordered our starter and main and were surprised when both were served at the same time. When the waiter brought the food he offered my Balti curry as a Jalfrezi then said they are the same. This was news to me I always thought they were different dishes. We eat our starter but no one came to give us another plate so had to use the same one for our main. We could only eat have of it as the food by then was cold. I asked the waitress if I could speak to the manager, but she came back saying he was too busy, yet we saw him walking around the place not doing not a lot. We requested some containers so we could take our food home. The photo shows what I left and I never leave any food wherever I go.More

Visited here with my husband initially after being recommend by a friend. Been here 6 times now since. We noted from the first time that waiting staff are super friendly and helpful! Very flexible with seating too. The portion sizes are well worth value for...money. We are both vegetarian and never feel short of options and choices here. It’s always a go to for us as if we want to go somewhere we know are consistent and won’t disappoint. The vegetarian sizzlers from here are absolutely to die for. So much flavour and effort goes into their dishes. The curries always seem to be freshly made and tasty. Naan breads are always well tandoor cooked and crisp, never any issues with it being undercooked or doughy like some other places. The veg biryani is a good portion size, served with its own biryani sauce which is a nice touch. We have also tried some of tho indo-Chinese options such as the Manchurian which again is another favourite. Staff always polite when bringing out the food. Never a long wait for the food either which helps. Doesn’t matter what day or time of the week we go it seems there’s always plenty customers in there which is a good sign. One of the best desi pubs in birmingham and we have tried a fair amount!More

Excellent food. Really big portions and promptly served. Our waitress Vix was superb and really looked after us. Nice ambiance, the music wasn’t too loud and you can park. We did book but it didn’t seem to matter, later we discovered that our booking had...been cancelled. Hope we haven’t been blacklisted !More

As an Indian, visiting an Indian restaurant Food was not flavoursome. Mogo hips were dry. Mixed veg dish had peas which felt raw on eating. Ambience and service was good.

Such a shame because we are frequent customers here. Ordered lunch here as a one off and it was terrible. Spoke with the supervisor who advised he wasnt able to do anything as hes not the manager but said he would get the manager to...call me. Still no call from management. I use to love this place and would take my family here every time they visited. Will be giving this place a miss from now on.More

They’ve got a bit of a kick. Most food here is probably a little more heat than your average restaurant. That said, it’s not spice for the sake of spice. The food has very good flavour to enjoy once you adapt to the heat.
