Lovely Sunday roast with 10/10 service by marta and Kelly Brilliant pub with lovely staff and great atmosphere
Thank you for 5 * we hoping to see you again
Sunday lunch is always excellent and lovely surroundings. My one issue is the one member of staff who quite frankly can be quite rude unfortunately. The older gentleman needs some customer service skills and made us feel uncomfortable by rushing us
Thank you Jonathan for your 4 * and I will address with the team about the service Marta
Fantastic service from a lady named Kelly, always smiling and very acommodating, very friendly, will be coming back.

Hello, Thank you for your lovely review and 5 * rating. Hope see you soon. kind regards, Management team
I booked a table for 8 people as a family meal. When we arrived, our table was not ready so we sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Shortly after we were shown to our table. At least 25 minutes had passed and no...one had been to take any orders for food or drinks. Keeping in mind the Restaurant was not at capacity and was only half full. I approached a staff member and asked if someone was free to take our order and she sent over a waiter to take the order. Orders were placed and 50 minutes had passed before receiving starters for the three people who had ordered them. When the plates were collected I asked a staff member how long the mains would be and around ten minutes later, one child's meal and the 5 other mains came out all at staggered times. When cutting the chicken on the child's meal I was horrified to see that the chicken was pink and completely raw inside and immediately took it to the manager in disbelief. He took the dish back to the kitchen and came back over offering 25% off the bill which we agreed to. (Going to the bar in between to get our own drinks as there was still no one taking drinks orders). Halfway through the meal, we were still waiting for two remaining main meals so I asked a waitress how long they would be and she went off to find out. The manager came back to the table and informed us that there were no other meals outstanding. At this point, we had totally had enough, and as we had waited such a long time for the original meals to come out, decided we could not wait for the two mains to be re-ordered. I made my way to the front of the bar to where the manager was now standing with another female staff member ( at this point very frustrated) and told them how disappointing and stressful the whole experience had been. This meal was an important evening for myself and my family and was a meal organized for my mom as a family get-together before starting her chemotherapy this coming week. To say this was a disaster is an understatement and could not have gone wrong at a worse time. The female waitress abruptly told me "Well sweetheart you are supposed to pre-order your food for a large booking (8 people) beforehand! Did you not get the message?" to which I replied and told her that I hadn't checked my emails all the time and my contact number was on the booking so they could have called me to confirm if this was the policy. I then told her this was absolutely no excuse for serving a child raw chicken, having no table service, a ridiculously long wait, and two missing main meals. I refused any discount offered and agreed to pay for the drinks and that would be all. I am infuriated that an important family meal was made into a total disaster and considering this venue is deemed one of the better establishments in Mosley, I will never return and would not recommend this venue to anyone else.More

Hello Rubies Thank you for lovely comments and we looking forward to see you again
Very poor Sunday lunch, lack of staff, practically ignored by overworked barmaid. Two people working in this huge bar/restaurant out front that clearly can't cope. Also contacted the village three times and heard nothing back. The customer service is as good as the food.Management are failing here,...there needs to be more staff and care to diners paying good money.More
We are sorry that your experience did not meet our usual high standards. Management team.
Four of us visited on a Saturday lunchtime for the bottomless brunch with two courses. From the moment we arrived, we had the most fabulous time. The place was so pretty, spotlessly clean and very inviting. The service was great, the food was delicious and...came out very quickly. Miranda who served us was absolutely lovely. She was very attentive and filled up our drinks as soon as they were empty. We are definitely going to book to come back. It was the best bottomless brunch we’ve had. Very good value at £35pp.More

Eaten here loads of times in past, always been good if a little pricey. Parked as usual in car park, took ticket inside for eventual refund. Ordered drinks, they were brought by waitress, ordered food, so far so good. Waitress returns after about 10 mins...saying there will be around 40 mins delay as chef hasn’t turned up. We decide to wait. Few minutes later someone else comes to table (manager?) says there is going to be long wait as the linguine that we ordered was still frozen… what?? We decide to give up and go somewhere else, offer the car park ticket for refund .. told no, parking is free if we enter details at bar. No notice in the car park, so you won’t know till you have paid and enter the restaurant, tiny notice on corner of door. What a shambles, won’t be coming here again.More

I booked a family meal for my 40th birthday, I had never been to this pub before but was recommended by friends. The interior is beautiful and very welcoming. When we arrived we were taken to our table, as it was a birthday celebration I...thought the staff would be a little more welcoming, the guy who looked like he was in charge, never even greeted us with a hello or happy birthday even though I was dressed in a sash and tiara, just there's your table, one of the waitresses asked if I wanted drinks service to the table I agreed this would be really helpful as my family didn't want to keep getting up to go to the bar, this never materialised. No one checked our food was ok once served, although the food was absolutely beautiful. I think all staff need to be trained on how to welcome customers and looking at previous reviews this doesn't seem to be a one off. We left the venue after food and drinks with not even a goodbye. I wont be returning im afraid.More

As much as I really enjoy coming here I honestly think the music on a Friday adds nothing to my night out. A few weeks ago he just played awful dance music all night and to be honest as most of the clientele were not...under the age if 30 I feel it was more likely to drive them out than to encourage them to stay for another drink. I personally don’t think the pub needs this but please bear in mind not everyone is into that kind of music.More
Hello, Thank you for your 4 * and for your comment. Hope see you soon:)
Our group were unimpressed by the slow service for refills of drinks on the bottomless brunch. The cocktails also cost £10 more than advertised, so £40 rather than £30. Waitress also spilled a drink on two members of the party, and although we accept mistakes...happen and she was very apologetic we were shocked to have a service charge enforced at the end of our meal. I would ordinarily tip anyway but have never had that experience at any restaurant.More

My partner and I visiting Moseley Farmers Market last Saturday (24th June) and decided to call in at The Village for a latte. Ordered and requested politely that we wanted them “extra hot”. Unfortunately arrived after quite a long wait barely luke warm meaning we...had to gulp them down before they lost all heat. Not sure quite why it is that some cafes are apparently unable/unwilling to serve drinks “extra hot” if requested. Loungers chain/ Coffee # for example seem to manage it regularly without too much trouble. Perhaps better off using a mug rather than a fancy glass? Dont think we’ll be rushing back to spend nearly £6 again on 2 coffees which need drinking in about 30 seconds. Nice setting but lattes very disappointing.More
