Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the best pub in kings heath for me. It has a really good atmosphere on a weekend and there’s always something on: a musician, band, quiz, vinyl night etc Serves the finest pale ale known to man: intuition and has some good cocktails....Ignore the negativity - Go on a weekend. Get a table and enjoy yourself.More

Four of us plus a toddler visited at 5pm for a couple of drinks. We actually stayed for one! Sat in a quiet corner away from other patrons because we didn’t want him to disturb anyone. There was a lady (the owner?) who was incredibly...rude and unfriendly. She came to where we were sitting and began rummaging around in a large box/coffee table removed something and then let the lid fall with a huge bang. No eye contact no apology no acknowledgment that we were even sitting there. Am convinced she made the noise deliberately. Don’t know whether she didn’t want us sitting in the other room or perhaps it was the child but it was very early and there are loads of young families in KH and Moseley so good luck with your business!More

Have been here several times. We used to love it! Last time we went it seemed to have changed ownership. It is now grubby, serves in dirty glasses and our last two visits we have had to return drinks. If you like dead beers, flat...mixers or sparkling wine that’s lost is sparkle….this is the place for you. Used to be lovely with great staff…now it seems it’s run on a tight budget. With all the other bars so close this is definitely one to avoid unfortunately.More

Fletchers is fast becoming a place to avoid. The drinks are extortionately priced and the venue itself is like a set from steptoe and son. The toilets are disgusting and the place does not represent value for money given the prices that are charged.

We have visited on a number of occasions since the lockdown has been eased. The Bar has adapted very well to the current guidelines and has quickly got back to some semblance of normality......the atmosphere is beginning to shape up and the manager and staff...are working hard to make the place what it has been for a number of years. We will certainly be visited again and probably very soonMore

Literally walked past, looking for a place for a beer, no preconceptions. Through the window saw a group of musicians setting up, so popped in. A great time followed. The band were great, friendly locals chatted to us and the draught ale was excellent, we...stayed all night! Fletchers, two reasons you don't get 5 stars. Firstly, your admittedly great tasting drinks are expensive. I would normally forgive this in a small bar ,as I know you need to make your money, but combined with the fact that your staff were not even remotely friendly, despite not being particularly busy. I just thought knocked the edge off an otherwise great experience. Having said that I'm sure I'll return ,and look forward to adding the 5th.More

I ordered a halloumi and aubergine burger. It took over 30 minutes to arrive. The aubergine was undercooked the halloumi so overcooked it was dry and hard. Chips soft and greasy. No onion rings as stated on the menu. Burger bun spread with margarine. Very...poor. I did get a replacement and halloumi was better but the rest remained the same. Really wished I had just gone to McDonalds and saved myself a tenner. Nice place for a drink but avoid the food.More

We ate here before a show at the kitchen garden cafe and enjoyed our meals and drinks. The service was very good. I would recommend the steak and ale pie!

A delightful venue with such a lot of potential for excellent food! Table reservation ready and waiting. The gin I ordered off the gin menu was not available. The menu online bore no resemblance to the limited 8 choice menu we were given, no tapas...choices at all. The bangers and mash chosen was poorly executed. Sausages only ok, my advice would be to locally source some great bangers and market this! Potato was cold and meals were returned to the kitchen and disposed of. New meals arrived, hot, but mash not great, lumpy and not buttery. This is the easiest meal in the world to get right with great sausages and tasty, well cooked buttery mash! Service and staff good, atmosphere very pleasant, comfortable. Now get the food right and everyone will eat here before the gigs next door!More
