Great place to meet and eat with friends. Reasonably priced and in a reasonable located place in the Birmingham City Centre. Pizzas look delicious and freshly made on order but the Arabic main courses were the ones that took my interest. Fresh juices are made...on order and certainly refreshing. Staff polite and friendly.More
Ordered pizza and watched hot pizza being delivered from oven with hungry anticipation.outer crust cooked but whole of centre of pizza very watery and pizza base mushy. We ate it because we were hungry but really the pizza was not so nice.
Beautiful place to eat pizza or BBQ meet. The place is big and spacious has a terrace and upstairs seating. I tried the chicken & Shish plater , it was just perfect……. Lovely and well marinated chicken the chips were perfect , the most natural...detox juice ginger and carrot … all was great …. The service was impeccable , the toilets were average they did not have soap.More
meal with faily, polite and friendly service. food was very tasty and great value for money. will return again
Was exploring this area as originally planned to go to Al Arabi. However, my friend and I noticed La Vera as we walked past. It looked very busy and had plenty to offer on the menu. Al Arabi was essentially empty and only had 4...items on the menu with no menu board above the tills. The cashier looked uninterested and didn't utter a single word. My friend and I decided to go to La Vera instead. We were pleasantly surprised as there was lots to choose from on the menu. We chose some grilled meat dishes. They tasted very fresh. Didn't suffer any ill effects after and as the food was clean and fresh, didn't feel bloated either. Had a meal deal for less than a tenner! Can't go wrong, will definitely be back. Only criticism would be that the tables and floor could have been cleaned.More
Food is absolutely top notch..service needs more attention . We set off looking for dinner snd we stumbled upon this fairly innocuous looking eatery. We were hungry do ordered from the very familiar middle eastern menu..the food was out of this world taste succulent lamb...and chicken kofta served with bulgar and the other with rice and vermicelli. Our side of chips moutable which was the equivalent of baba ganoush was exquisite! The waitresses were extremely polite but just really lacked in attention, they spoke very little English which is acceptable but my husband spilt his tea whilst trying to cool it in another cup and the waitress could see the spill but didn't come to clean it until I instructed her..then didn't even have the courtesy to give him another drink! The puddle on the floor near his feet was just left. Its a real real shame as the food and atmosphere is fantastic!More
This is the second time I came to la vera and the pizza is great! You don't really see nice light pizzas anymore. The pizza itself was huge and loved the peri chips . The waitress was very friendly and talked me through the menu....And the food came quick. Its a good halal place to eat I the middle of city centre. They have outdoor seating as well as indoors so it is very nice.More
I have been coming here for over a year now! Please don't be put off by the reviews of disgruntled people. They do have covid guidelines in place, they all wear masks and all tables are adequately spaced. I always have a vegan fungi, with...red onions and sweetcorn, and the chips which are to die for. Highly recommend going here for some truly delicious food! Staff are also amazing.More
Appalling service, with no COVID regulations in place. I’ve been LA Vera many times, it’s always just about ok, cheap mad cheerful, but this time the food was so poor and service was a joke, with no COVID regulations in place. AVOID AT ALL COST
Bought a groupon voucher included a pizza each, soft drink, sides and Nutella calzone pizza. My girlfriend asked the waitress when we arrived can we swap the Nutella pizza for anything even something cheaper on menu. She was met with a no we can’t do this. When the waitress...came and gave us our drinks I asked again. She said she would ask manager who was the chef he looked like was very angry and was pointing and moody with waitress.Chef looked so angry while we were there.Pizza not cooked enough doughy. My gf went the toilet she said was awful.I went in after was digusting place.Would not go backMore
Cheap and cheerful. For less than 10 you can have a drink, salad and a fantastic pizza. Never fail. Fantastic place for a quick meal.
I came here with my husband last week and I loved it. The food was really tasty, really well served and really cheap. It was a bit cold inside and we did not chat with the waitresses but I just wanted to try the pizza...honestly. I was expecting more Italian dishes and less eastern country ones.More
It now appears to not serve much Italian food (other than pizzas) and it seems to advertise Eastern dishes. Not what I needed so ....
Is a good pizza, but they always don't cook it enough, so i always ask to be cooked more as i don't want to eat uncooked dough
