We stopped at this restaurant as we were too tired/lazy to walk to the one we had booked (we did cancel the other), once we'd found the entrance we went in to a swanky relaxed restaurant and bar. We took a comfortable booth and the waiter handed us the menu's. The waiter was great, really attentive and kept making sure... More

What an amazing place. We only had drinks so cannot comment on food but the dishes we did see looked lovely and so much choice!. Fantastic and friendly bar staff set in a beautiful building and area with St Paul's Church across the road.

This restaurant managed to achieve the killer combo of truly terrible food in such small quantities. The venue is nice enough with a lovely bar upstairs. The problems begin when you go downstairs and enter the gloomy restaurant. The staff are pleasant but the food is dreadful. It's all frozen and warmed up fare here - Frankie and Benny's style.... I came here with a group on a Saturday afternoon not having made a booking. The staff informed us that the chef was not available until 4pm but happily moved tables to accommodate us and took our order informing us that the chef would cook our meals as soon as he returned. The special lady in our party received a... More

We came here saying we quickly needed lunch before heading for an activity on a Hen Do, there were 11 of us. We arrived at 3.35 ordered sandwiches and chips that arrived at 4.45 (over an hour later) the chips were cold and the potatoes of the one poor soul that ordered an actual meal were raw. We were told... More

Service friendly and very good. Atmosphere lovely. My fellow (meat eating) dinners enjoyed their meals. There were two vegi main options neither of which were very inspired. The one I picked tasted okay but not amazing. I hadn't been back since becoming vegetarian and I have to say I was disappointed as the food was always very lovely.

Good drinks, good atmosphere and bumped into old friends, so very nice short visit - good enough to convince us to go back next Saturday!

Me and my friends had a dinner at The Rectory last Saturday. The food was good; our waiter, Pierce, was very attentive (without hovering) and polite throughout. He ensured that we had everything that we needed without asking. His knowledge about the wine came also handy.

We started a work's night out last night at The Rectory. It's elegantly appointed, with good use of the space. It's pretty trendy-looking, so scrub up if you plan on going. The staff (all pretty young things, I might add) were attentive and professional, and the drinks on offer were certainly up to snuff.

Absolutely brilliant. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Every course was very well presented and tasted great. And got some bottles of wine on the house too. Definitely recommend for a Christmas do it just stopping by for a bite to eat. Spot on.
