Once again we’ve had a lovely Sunday roast at the Cathedral Cafe. Friendly staff and tasty home made food

We went for Sunday lunch. The good was lovely. Freshly cooked and choice of 2 roast joints, a fish dish (salmon) and a vegetarian choice. Good selection of vegetables. Does tend to get busy after the cathedral service has finished (12ish) so get there early...More

A perfectly lovely place to have lunch in Chichester. The stuffed auburgines with ratatouille were gorgeous, served with an assortment of seasonal veg, and very reasonable. Head to the Bishops garden behind to walk off your huge lunch or sit and have a read!

The Cloisters cafe serves good reasonably priced food in a peaceful location. Dogs are welcome in the cloisters.

Very nice setting for a meal in the garden at the back of the Cathedral.. Good salad bar and nice hot food served like a canteen with trays and paying before you eat.. A little pricey but worth it.

It might have got a 5 if it was not a modern carbuncle set amidst such gorgeous and elegant episcopal surroundings. We visited on a Sunday, and there was a queue, presumably of churchgoers, ready to tuck in to a carvery lunch. Pork and turkey...More

Visited for lunch. Excellent meal prepared from fresh ingredients and cooked in a real kitchen (easily seen) unlike the typical and hidden microwave array in pubs and eateries. Buffet servery. Good range of soft drinks too. Unique location and surroundings.

We visited after a tour of great cathedral. We wanted a drink and a light bite, so we ordered two coffees, one scone with jam and cream, and an Eccles cake. Service was prompt and friendly and the staff were all excellent. Coffee was good...More

Cloisters Cafe prides itself on fair trade suppliers and freshly cooked food, featuring dishes such as smoked haddock with a gruyere and tomato gratin, supreme of chicken in a mushroom and tarragon sauce and roasted sweet potato with a bean ragu. Old favourites also appear on the menu along with baked potatoes and a range of hot and cold sandwiches. There is a roast on Sundays when bookings can be made in advance. Cloisters also has a beautiful walled garden and the stunning Cathedral spire can be seen through its glazed roof. Next to our cafe is the Cloisters Shop, offering a range of unique and gorgeous gifts and accessories, souvenirs and religious items. A perfect way to round off a visit to the Cathedral, or just to find that special present.
