Very disappointed with our Christmas meal last night. Booked a table for 8 friends @ 8 o'clock. Table wasn't ready, only 6 chairs no crackers. Sit down and wait, drinks came, but starters didn't,.... Table beside us who sat down after us got theirs first! When we brought this to the waiters attention we got a free round of drinks... More

Great location at the south end of Chichester. Fabulous and very filling food, expertly cooked with a fine choice of starters, mains and puddings. If you go for lunch ... you don't need to start with breakfast at home!

We ate in a Friday evening. The place wasn't busy but the menu read well. Firstly the wine list was limited and certainly over priced with a Chilean Savignon Blanc at£20 per bottle. The menu would be fairly priced if the quality matched the description. We had the seabass with risotto with the risotto having a strange sandy texture. The... More

To be honest Woodies looks fairly uninteresting from the outside nestling where it does right on a busy road. But once inside things start to change, it is a bit of a Tardis space wise and plenty of choice re seating. The menu looks pretty good and it delivers on that when you start to eat. Excellent food, reasonable price... More

The food today was really well cooked and well presented. Initial ordering was a bit slow but may have been because we were a large group.

Returned to Woodies following the change of hands, having heard the chef was still there. Definitely no longer like the Woodies of old, which was our favourite restaurant. Lacking in atmosphere, generally indifferent waiters, average food & limited menu (probably due to insufficient kitchen staff), waiters kept going in & out of the door, creating a cold draught where we... We had an excellent lunch with friends in this restaurant. The price for lunch before 2pm was good value with two courses plus sides and a drink for £14. The portion sizes were large and the food healthy and flavoursome. The waiter was very attentive and helped to make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately the restaurant was empty, possibly because it... More

I went to Woodies with a friend having not been for nearly a year. Sadly since it has changed hands it just wasn't as good. It was very quiet, we were sat by the door to the rear car park which seemed to have staff going good in and out constantly. The food was ok but my partners steak was... More

I had a table booked at woodies, for 4 people at 8pm. I'd been looking forward to this all day as I had not been to woodies for YEARS and back then.... I was never been disappointed, so it was a sure thing - so I thought. Upon arrival, I noticed only 2 waiters working on a Saturday night ...... More
