Eaten here twice recently and am likely to go back.

An interesting menu with choices that I would expect to find in a Thai restaurant and a few that were new to me. There were lots of choices for vegetarians and vegans. On both occasions I have really enjoyed my food and found it to be very good value for money. The early bird menu is especially good value and I was not left feeling that the portions were too small. The staff are friendly and eager to help with requests. The décor/atmosphere is perhaps bright and cheerful rather than subdued and romantic so it might be perfect for a large group rather than an intimate table for two. They are open early evenings and on Sundays when many other places are closed. the toilets are accessible on one level from the restaurant; good if that's important to you. I would check though re wheelchair access as I can't remember if the door access is flat or not! It would also be worth checking about the heat/chilli content of your food choice. They do indicate on the menu a heat rating but my last meal there had no indication of heat and turned out to be quite hot! It was fine for me but if you wanted a meal without any chilli you would have been misled.

A lovely surprise tucked away near the city centre

We were staying in Bradford for one night and had a relatively early start the next morning. We we're pleased to find that this restaurant was just a five minute walk from the Premier Inn we were staying in and decided to give it a try. We hadn't booked but were hopeful and fairly early about 6:45pm on A Saturday night. Luckily we got a table but others not too long behind us who hadn't booked were turned away or faced quite a wait. The building is an old industrial unit that looks very much in place forth outside in Little Germany but whilst mainly superficial changes inside the nice decoration and atmosphere did transport us, if not all the way to Thailand certainly away from Bradford.😀. The staff and service were lovely, very patient and checking things were ok for us but always in a pleasant and light hearted way using appropriate humour to help things along. The food was excellent! We had a platter for two to start which was great and probably enough on its own for us but we had to try the mains. Mary had the seafood casserole (58 on the menu) and I had duck with 39. Both were really nice. We shared a Merlot and had about 4 bottles of beer between us and it all came in under £80 which we thought was really reasonable given the quality of the food and the great manner of the staff. As it was busy things took little longer than we have been used to in other places but this was explained to us and and it was nice to relax and chat without feeling we were being hurried out of the restaurant. A real pleasure to visit and will be a definite stop off when we next go to Bradford. We will book in advance next time though and suggest others do too.

60th Birthday Celebration

We held my birthday celebrations for 30 people here last night, what a fantastic night it was. The staff made us all feel so special, our tables were set up lovely with balloons and decorations. As always the food was amazing, we had the special party set meal, with mixed starters all delicious, followed by a range of different dishes and rice, the food was top class, the staff are so lovely, first class service and really cant do enough for you, we love you all at Bangkok Thai, cant wait to come back xx

good food -shame about the outrageous price increases during Covid

Have been going here for takeaway and sit down for over 10 years now. But sorry to say will not be repeating the experience. Collected a takeaway last week and ended up paying almost £70 when was expecting to pay £52.It appears prices have increased -fine BUT not when you look at the detail. In essence takeaway prices have increased by approx 33% and sit down by 20% or so. This during covid times when businesses want your support! Example - previous restaurant price for a dish say £10 ,for takeaway had 25% discount so £7.50 .Discount was high as restaurant prices were top end but worth the extra if eating in. So now restaurant price has increased by about 20% to £12 and hey presto you get what you think is a 15% discount for takeaway giving you a net cost of £10 which amazingly is same or similar to the old sit in price! Oh and some dishes do not even qualify for 15% discount at all. As I said shame because the food is generally good but from now on we will get our food from My Thai which is just as good and we have also used on many occasions. When I rang to complain and say that with the price increase implemented there was no real effective discount anymore for takeaway the lady just said yes correct and put the phone down!

Lovely service!

On entry to the restaurant, their was a quick polite welcome, W e were seated, and given our menu's, and left to ponder the menu, advice on spiciness, was given. When been left to decide, we were struck by just how sterile the décor was, White walls, red blinds , and chocolate brown pleather. when red's golds, are more apt and, the choice of trendy music , I don't know about anyone else , but we prefer the whole experience. That being said were the only things that could really be addressed. Please think about décor, I understand the location you are in doesn't warrant opulence but little thought has been taken with regards to the surroundings. Other than that the food, and service was great. Thank you very much we will be back!

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while now. The service is first class and the menu is varied and caters for all tastes. The fish main courses are to die for. Well recommended was very busy and lots of people picking up takeaways a real gem in bradford as good as any Thai restaurant in Yorkshire

BKT is my favourite restaurant in Bradford. The staff are friendly, the food is lush, I visited a few months back. The chef is very quick and the food tastes divine. If you ask for extra spice they make sure it is to your standards. I will be back as soon as lockdown is over.

Great, Fresh Food With Lovely, Friendly Service

We went to this restaurant because it was near to our hotel & it had good reviews for its food. We went for dinner & it was very busy. The food we had was fresh & delicious & they made it extra spicy like we requested. It was Yummy!! The girls who worked there were very friendly & pleasant. Highly recommended.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at the Bangkok Thai last week. We shared the chicken satay starter then chose a lamb Massaman curry and another dish, a milder Thai red curry (I should have made a note of the name!) with sticky rice. The service was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. A highlight was my husband's Thai bubble tea which was beautiful: I even offered to swapy red wine for it but he refused! 😂 We would definitely return if we were in Bradford again. 😊

A Thai hidden gem

My friend introduced me and my partner to this restaurant a few months ago. Initially I was apprehensive as I had been to ‘Blue Sky’ Chinese restaurant which was in the same location prior to it closing and let’s just say once was enough. The portions are large, the food is not over-priced and the atmosphere is friendly. I would recommend it.

Been a long time since we’ve been here, I’m so pleased we decided to try it again. We arrived just after opening at 5pm. They offer a good value early bird menu until 7pm, 2 courses for £16.50. We decided to opt for a set menu for 2 which was £22.50 a head, selection of starters & dips then 2 main dishes, we added an extra one so we could try different dishes. As you can see from the photos the food is incredibly fresh and it was stunning, so well presented. Very friendly staff who were very attentive. Would not hesitate to return and highly recommend.

Family early evening meal out

Early evening Saturday meal. We enjoyed lovely, freshly prepared food. Service was attentive until there was a big rush of people arriving, we struggled with ordering a dessert. However, they were very apologetic about it. It did not detract from the food though.

Wonderful experience

Not a single bad thing to say about this place. The food was fantastic and the customer service matched. They went out of their way to put a birthday banner on the table for my step daughter unprompted. Its the little touches that make such a huge difference. Only issue was one of the mocktails was overly strong and this was corrected straight away with no fuss, apology and a smile. Perfect customer service. The food itself, if you are a huge Thai food fan, this place will not dissapoint you as the quality is top notch! The scallops were cooled to perfection! Cant wait to go again!

We were looking for a restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options and called here on New Year's Eve. The staff were so nice and accommodating. There was a great choice and the food was delicious, top class. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We were really surprised that a Thai restaurant this great exists in Bradford. Food was delicious and great value. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was very hygienic too. Definitely would come again, and recommended anyone to try.
