The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. Offering the freshest seasonal produce, expertly cooked on our Josper charcoal grill, this gastropub has a menu to cater for everybody's taste. The building has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning range of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era. The Hawthorn was recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. We had to take our small dog and she was made welcome with a dog bed and treats. Our table was in the corner by the window and was ideal. Staff all very friendly. The...food was delicious. Steak cooked to perfection and the sides a good accompaniement with 2 enough to share between two.More

The Hawthorn Haworth is THE must go to restaurant. Book in advance though to avoid disappointment. The atmosphere, rustic vibe, friendly staff and really good freshly cooked food are the reasons we always visit when in Haworth. All staff are lovely, and have been trained...well by manager Rachel, making us feel very welcome each time we visit. Today we had lamb Sunday dinner & our waitress was Ellie. She was very friendly & although busy, found time for a chat as we decided if to have dessert or not. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll be back soon!More

Me and my partner returned here this weekend with our two year old. We tried something new off the menu and we were not disappointed - honestly, some of the best food I have ever eaten. I had the “Late Spring” cocktail and it was...just lovely. The staff are so accommodating, a special thanks to Maisie, who gave our little boy a colouring book to keep him entertained whilst waiting for our food. I cannot wait to come back to enjoy some more amazing food, drinks all whilst in a beautifully relaxed setting.More

What a really grown up, sophisticated and classy venue. The tables are really well spaced. Candlelit. Mood lighting. Super romantic. The service was exceptional and the waits between courses and enquiries as to if everything was alright/for more drinks perfectly timed. The food was just...sublime. All perfectly cooked and perfectly flavoured. We had popped in earlier in the day to request a window seat, if possible, which was honoured. This just made the overall experience even more magical. If you love great food, attentive service, a romantic ambience, and good value for money - just book. Great wine list too. We would definitely book again when next in the area.More

We had been meaning to visit the Hawthorn for a long time and we finally booked in for the famous Sunday lunch. It didn’t disappoint- the Sunday roast is the best I have ever had. The roast potatoes were perfect, the meat was tender and...good quality, the veggies and cauliflower cheese was plentiful and tasty. No faults at all. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the staff friendly. we will definitely be back for a weekday meal. We also thought that the meals were really reasonably priced given the quality and experience of our visit.More

Wow, what a fabulous party! We have been coming here for a couple of years now and the ambience, food and service has always been exceptional so we decided to have my husbands 50th birthday party here last Sunday afternoon through until evening. I cannot...rate this place highly enough, around 50 of our family and friends came, the atmosphere was incredible and the service as fantastic as always. But let’s talk about the food, Imogen the chef is one talented lady, she made the most incredible canapés, it was the talk of the evening!! We had a live singer, candles everywhere and we were all dancing, it was beyond fabulous so a huge thankyou to Rachel, Imogen, Maisie and all the team, you made a special birthday very special indeed!!! This was our first visit to The Hawthorn Haworth, we had read good reviews and looked forward to a meal with friends. The service was good but the staff never smiled, it was early so maybe they were still tired from the lunchtime rush. The...menu was more in line with a steak house rather than a modern restaurant, it was limited and one of our group couldn’t find anything there that she could eat. There was no flexibility in the food offered, it was a take-it-or-leave-it approach. The food we ordered arrived, it was just OK, not the scintillating menu offered, the Chowder which we know as a thick soup with seafood and vegetables arrived lacking liquor with only a small amount in the bottom of the bowl. We may visit again as a couple but our friends are unlikely to come with us.More
