Ordered online and it was ready on time. Tasty, cooked to perfection and excellent service. Top value. The best chippy for miles.

Takeaway only. Ordered by website and food was ready and waiting at requested time. Fish and chips were delicious. A bit expensive but same everywhere these days I'm afraid. Would recommend if in the area.

Our whole office order from here every Friday and 9/10 times the food is nice however today was different. I thought my fish tasted funny and before long others were commenting on the poor tasting fish. It was either slightly off or else it wasn’t...haddock, possibly pollock. At least 10 members of staff left their fish with some demanding we go elsewhere in future. Apologies for writing this but it was poor and I didn’t have time to bring it back and discuss.More

absolutely nothing wrong with the food as usual. however, our ONLY criticism was, as we were a walk in order, we felt we were bulldozed to the back of the queue. in favour of the click and collect people. it seemed to take forever to...get our order. although friendly, maybe they need more staff .More

Super tasty fish and chips! The gravy and curry sauces makes it even more yummy. It's always busy here which is a good sign. It's also very convenient to order via the app. The lunchtime deals are also great value too. It's definitely one of...my fave fish and chip shops. 😍More

Usually great service by all staff...but recent visit, I was waiting 20 mins before being served (not an issue as it was busy) but then a further 20 mins until I got my food. I ordered nothing different to what I usually order, 3 fish,...2 chips, battered sausage, haloumi sticks, drinks and curry sauce. I could see there were conversations between staff about my order...clearly an issue. I ended up being the last person in the shop, and eventually when called my number, there was only a "thanks for waiting"...no sorry to keep you waiting so long. Food is always deliciousMore

Really love the food here and never go anywhere else. Fish always cooked to perfection and chips just the way I like them. Always have their curry sauce which is very tasty. Really recommended the spam fritters and battered sausages too.

Tried one of the new fishcakes being trialed on Saturday evening and it was delicious! You can really taste and see the parsley, lovely flavour!

If you like quality well cooked fish and chips Hillycroft is for you, we have never been disappointed at the price, portion size of our fish and chips. Staff are very polite and welcoming. I recommend this fish shop to family and friends.

I called for a pre-ordered meal to take away. It was freshly cooked and was still hot when I reached home which the family enjoyed very much.
