The Cross Keys is obviously a Leeds institution and of such a good pedigree expectations are always going to be high. For me The Cross Keys delivers everything I want from a pub! The place is warm and inviting, it's in the heart of the city yet feels full of locals. The Sunday roast was amazing and service second to... More

This is my work local, and I love everything about it. The beer is consistently varied and interesting (4 cask ales on rotation), the food is excellent and the staff are always lovely: friendly and helpful to a fault. It may seem a little pricey, but it is well worth it for a good pint in a friendly atmosphere.

We went on a wet and cold winter's day and the pub was warm with wood fires and subtle lighting. The chips must be one of the best we've ever had (triple fried) and we loved the salmon and salted beef sandwiches. We absolutely loved it and all the pints too.

I'd say it's a pub not a restaurant but anyway.. Always a relaxed and welcoming environment. All the bar staff seem friendly and if you're unsure what to have they advise and let you taste before ordering. The beer always tastes great and with a large selection North bar give you're spoilt for choice. They obviously have a chef who... More

So I gave it 5 stars, for what is essentially a pub the food was excellent, good beers and Good inexpensive wines. Now I would have probably only given it 3/4 Stars if I was comparing it to a "Top Restaurant" Why ? Toilets only one [disabled] in use for the gents. Lamb dish Good Lamb and The shepherds pie...
