Probably the first craft beer bar in Britain. A cosy gem serving a massively varied selection of quality drinks, plus teas, coffees, and light bites to eat. One of the original pioneers of the Leeds bar boom, North has an unparalleled beer selection, served brilliantly by friendly and informative staff. Winner of the Observer Food Monthly's 'Best Place to Drink in Britain award. North is Leeds' coolest haunt for lovers of great drinks, music and art.

Nice small (ish) bar.
Plenty of beers to choose from and always a decent amount of people in.
One negative is the prices. The (admittedly nice) pint of porter was £5.40.
Can't be staying long at those prices.

Really good range of craft beers, including a few real ales brewed locally. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and competent. The beers aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. I liked it too that the barmaid warned you how much the more expensive...More
A great little bar with a wide selection of beers across a variety of styles and prices. It's probably the best curated beer menu in town.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive and the music playing is refreshingly different to other bars.
Several years ago I used to be a regular customer.
It's not changed much. Shabby minimalist interior and good ales, but I don't remember it being so expensive.
Some Leeds City centre bar prices are now becoming a joke.
Excellent staff, beer recommendations and service (Kieran and Cal) enjoyed my visit and a good range of cask, keg and bottle! Their own brewery is a good shout too if the standard is as good as the beers I tried. (transmission and the 3 fruit...More
I've been coming here for a few years now. They have a range of beers, including a few real ales brewed locally (a small brewery that perhaps also owns the bar). The staff are good (knowledgeable and competent).
Only issues are that the toilets could...More
