We booked a table via the website. The reservation wasn't put into the paper diary. However, the staff set up a table for us. The food was very poo. Over cooked and burnt. The calzone cracked when cut into. The pizza bases snapped. As for...the meats, the restaurant only had one steak left (at 6 pm), and the burgers were cooked dry. The chicken was dry and tough. The calzone was sent back to the kitchen because it was burnt black at the ends and underside and so dry it was inedible. The chef/owner came out and shouted, "This is how calzone is cooked here!" We have eaten at the restaurant before and found the food reasonable but not as bad as this. After we complained, the staff were rushing us, taking plates when people were still eating. Really not a good experience. La Cantina and Francos are better options for a good night out.More

Excellent Food and Smashing Staff

Went here for our anniversary on 4th August, first time ever and was not disappointed. Brilliant. Great food, thank you chef, good atmosphere and special thanks to the two members of staff who served us, don't know their names but they will know who they...are. Lovely people, couldn't do enough for us, made us feel very welcome and special, smashing personalities. We would definitely recommend the restaurant, the food and the staff. Excellent.More

Started well, but bad desserts

This Italian restaurant is not in popular location, and had not many customers in when we arrived. Easy to park. Good and polite service from the staff. The starter and main course were very good and reasonable price. However the food was let down by...the desserts. No Italian dishes, just 4 boring English choices. The atmosphere was not helped by the loud depressing music, Adel breakup music is not suitable romantic evening. Why not soft quiet italian music or none.More

Lovely food and service

We had a great meal tonight, all 4 of us had a really nice 2 course meal. Service was speedy and everything was well cooked and hot.

Warm welcome.

We booked a table for 13 people on a Friday evening, this was no trouble for the staff at Sorrento, they got everything correct, and the food was hot and delicious. It took sometime , obviously as it was a very large order, but nobody...was kept longer than anyone else in our party. We are all from our of town , so had taken the previous tripadvisor reviews as a guide. We were delighted. It's out of the way so doesn't get passing trade, but well worth the trip. Thanks sorrento. We will be back if passing through again.More

Brilliant

We came for a meal on 30/09 and it was brilliant! The food was excellent, we had 3 courses each and they were all absolutely delicious. The service from the one lady that was working was exceptional - nothing was too much. We have been...before and we will definitely be back again. Thank you!More

Lovely food

Lovely food and atmosphere, service was fast and wasn't waiting forever for desserts like some places. Nice selection of options on the menu, staff nice and friendly, will have time to chat to you.

Wonderful meal

Great food and a lovely host

I’m not one to usually leave a review, but we had a really nice evening, and the food was spot on. The calzone and risotto were delicious and the host went out of his way to make us welcome.

Best Italian in Leeds!

Disappointed with takeaway pizza

The restaurant is currently closed due to covid 19 but due to the good reviews of the food I decided to try the pizzas from the takeaway. I was really disappointed with the low level of toppings. We ordered 4 varieties of pizza and they...all looked and tasted the same due to there being so little on top - for example, some slices of the meatball pizza had zero or one meatball and there was virtually no kebab meat on the kebab pizza. I’m not sure if the restaurant shares the same kitchen and chef when it is open but I’ve been put off trying it regardless. It’s a shame as I had such high hopes.More

Food and service 10/10

I called the restaurant by mistake instead of the take away and the kindly took my order and passed it on, I only realised I called the wrong number when I asked for the price and the gentleman had to pop to the takeaway and...find out, otherwise they wouldn’t of mentioned it at all. The customer service on the telephone was fantastic, very polite and patient. Food came within the delivery time with a few options for methods of payment which was greatly appreciated. Food was spot on! Brilliant for the price aswell. The pizzas were a lovely thin and crisp Italian base and the toppings all tasted fresh and good quality. The burger I ordered was exactly what I was after with a generous portion of chips. Will definitely be back and also looking forward to visiting the restaurant when it reopens after lockdown. Would definitely recommend!More
