Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wasn't sure what the 3 of of us fancied to eat and found this lovely place by sheer luck. It's small ,about 5 tables down and 5 upstairs . We placed our order of 2 meatball pastas, cheese burger and chips and 3 drinks all for...around £36. We didn't have long to wait before the food was served by such a friendly, helpful lady. There was ample to eat and all came hot. Tasted great. There wasn't an extensive menu but I think here less equalled more by sticking to staple dishes such as pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, breakfasts. Thankyou for an enjoyable meal.More

Really rate the bacon sandwich - in home made ciabatta - just special! Lovely young man serving and helpful young woman in the background! Yes it’s a bit scruffy but it was £7 each for coffees and sandwiches for 2 - bargain! Gorgeous range in...the upstairs seating area and very clean toilet.More

I am very pleased to see other very good reviews of this cafe. Please ignore the 2019 reviews, I am a regular when visiting Leeds and it is definitely under new management. Also ignore any suggestion of being expensive. Yesterday I had a beautiful well...filled chicken & salad sandwich with their brilliant own home baked ciabatta bread for £5, a great price for a city centre cafe. In my favourite cafe in home town Ripon this would be £5.90. My companion had a huge portion Carrot & Walnut cake which was delicious. We both thought the americano was excellent too. Staff very friendly and everywhere nice and clean and well laid out. It's no more than 5 minutes from all the main shopping areas, well worth the time to go there. Don't hesitate!More

After walking around for a while searching for somewhere me and my friends opted for breakfast here. A plucky indie cafe holding out despite events of recent years. This is exactly the kind of place towns and cities need. The place has a cosy vibe...and was pretty busy. I can't fault the service, the staff are friendly and engaging, and I have to give credit for allowing us inside with my friend's dog, so we didn't have to sit out in the cold. it's rarely clear whether cafes are dog friendly. So it's all the more disappointing the food itself was so average, not bad but not really memorable in anyway, and my friends felt the same when we discussed it later.More

Popped in prior to a gig at the Arena. We had halloumi fries and two pizzas, the pepperoni and the bbq chicken. The food was spot on, the staff were great and it didn’t break the bank!

Called here for a nice cup of tea and my son had a milk shake. Been here before and we still enjoyed the friendly, fast service. We will definitely call by again in the near future. 😊😊☕

My wife were in Leeds last night for a gig. We were looking for somewhere for a drink and found this delightful spot. We were so taken by the ambience we dined there last night and returned for a delicious breakfast this morning. Service was...spot on, prices were reasonable and the food was topnotch.More

I went here for breakfast as I'd known it to be a nice cafe having been once before about 5 years before. I'm certain the owners had changed. First the woman that served me was super rude. Didn't engage with me at all when I...was being friendly. Didn't take my order properly..got the egg wrong. Told me where to sit for no apparent reason. When I said I prefer a different seat seemed annoyed. Another customer came I to say his order wasn't right. When he left it was clear she spoke about him in her own language for quite some time seemed to be moaning. Her and colleague spoke in own language which is fine it's urnown language but from a customer service point of view it was very rude and exclusionary. I felt I was probably spoke about as well as the woman seemed very unhappy and unpleasant. Also my button in dress had opened and I didn't realise my bra was exposed. The male staff member noticed and had been laughing and I hadn't realised why he was laughing until afterwards. I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable the entire time. In a ordinary world someone would tell you as a favour but not there. The food actually wasn't bad but I'm all about customer service and the woman who served was fake and rude and very disrespectful on the verge of disdainful of her customers. They'll never get my money again. It was terrible. If you care about customer service don't go here. I don't think they realise that energy doesn't lie and thats even if you speak a different language.More

Made the effort to visit this cafe after looking online for a good breakfast in Leeds. Couldn’t fault the cafe itself or the staff but was disappointed with my actual meal. Opted for the Full English & was offered extra bacon as I didn’t want...the mushrooms. I was served mushrooms anyway. Thought the portions were small ( 2 slices of bacon including the one extra) a low quality sausage which was particularly disappointing. Maybe I should have gone for the large Full English but that would have included perhaps even more of the low quality sausage. Coffee was excellent but the total of £10 I thought expensive for the portions served. As I said lovely cafe, very friendly customer service but please enhance your reputation by providing quality sausage(s)More

We thought finding somewhere to eat on a Saturday afternoon would be easy but Leeds was so busy and places that said bookings only but this was a good find. Staff were friendly, a simple menu that was freshly cooked and burger, pizza and schnitzel...all very goodMore
